Description
Maxilac Drops Babies help to accelerate the processes of adaptation of the child’s body, normalize the intestinal microflora, which can lead to a decrease in the intensity of intestinal colic and the duration of crying during attacks of intestinal colic in infants, as well as the frequency and duration of attacks.
Maxilac Drops Babies are able to activate the intestinal immune system as the body’s first line of defense against infections.
How is the intestinal microflora formed and what functions does it perform
The intestinal microflora performs many different functions: it participates in digestion, metabolic processes, neutralizing pathogenic bacteria and maintaining immunity, synthesizing a number of vitamins and other useful substances necessary for maintaining the health of the gastrointestinal tract and the entire body. The health of the microflora is ensured by the balance of microorganisms that inhabit our intestines. The formation of normal microflora from birth is the key to the health of the baby.
The formation of the human microbiota begins in the period of intrauterine development in the uterine cavity. The species composition of these bacteria is more consistent with the intestinal and oral microbiota of matter.
Active colonization of the digestive tract by microbes begins during childbirth, and this occurs due to bacteria that are part of the microbiota of the birth canal, skin, intestines, and oral cavity of the mother. The method of delivery largely determines the species composition of the children microbiota. The composition of the microbiota of children born by caesarean section is more sparse, since they do not pass through the birth canal of the mother. Such children are characterized by a decrease in microbial diversity, they have an increased risk of developing allergic and autoimmune diseases, such as bronchial asthma, allergic rhinitis, celiac disease, and so on.
The term of delivery is also of great importance for the composition of the intestinal microbiota. Preterm children show a decrease in the diversity of the intestinal microbiota, a low content of lacto-and bifidobacteria. It is believed that this may be due not so much to prematurity, but rather to the use of antibiotics, being in intensive care units and other factors.
The unformed microflora of a child can cause various symptoms from the gastrointestinal tract – colic, stool disorders, bloating. When forming and maintaining the normal microflora of a child at risk, as well as against and after taking antibiotics, after a previous intestinal or respiratory infection, a special form is used – Maxilac®Drops Babies, which are a solution of L. reuteri.
children bacteria Lactobacillus reuteri
L. reuteri are natural microorganisms that were first isolated from breast milk and are normally present in the human body throughout the entire length of the gastrointestinal tract. If the mother does not have the opportunity to breastfeed, Maxilac®drops can be used Baby as a source of this microorganism. L. reuteri has the status of QPS (“Qualified Presumption of Safety”), which is a guarantee of compliance with European probiotic safety standards.
L. reuteri colonizes the epithelium and multiply in all parts of the gastrointestinal tract, starting from the oral cavity. L. reuteri resistant to the action of gastric juice, bile salts, and enzymes of the upper part of the small intestine. L. reuteri support and regulate the physiological balance of the intestinal microflora and actively participate in the processes of digestion. L. reuteri synthesize lactic, acetic acid and specific substances for this species Lactobacillus – reuterin and reiteration that suppress the growth of pathogenic and conditionally pathogenic microorganisms in the digestive tract. By strengthening the natural defense of the digestive system against pathogenic microorganisms, they create favorable conditions for the formation of abnormal intestinal microflora. L. reuteri helps reduce the intensity of intestinal colic and the duration of crying during intestinal colic attacks in infants, as well as the frequency and duration of attacks. The immunostimulating activity of L. reuteri is associated with the ability to activate the intestinal immune system as the body’s first line of defense against infections by increasing the number of CD4 + cells (a specific subgroup of T-lymphocytes).
