Composition

One tablet contains: Active ingredient: Dioxomethyltetrahydro-pyrimidine-0.5 GH Auxiliary substances: potato starch-0.130 g calcium stearate-0.007 gpovidone-K 30-0.049 g zinc – 0.014 g

Pharmacological action

Methyluracil has anabolic activity.

It has hematopoietic, leukopoietic, immunostimulating, anti-inflammatory effects.

By normalizing the nucleic exchange, it accelerates the regeneration processes in wounds, accelerates the growth and granulation maturation of tissue and epithelialization (including in rapidly proliferating cells of the gastrointestinal mucosa), stimulates erythro-and leukopoiesis, cellular and humoral factors of immunity.

Indications

• Agranulocytic tonsillitis;
• alimentary-toxic alaikia;
• chronic benzene intoxication;
• sluggish healing wounds;
• burns;
• bone fractures;
• peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum;
• chronic gastritis;
• hepatitis;
• pancreatitis;
• radiation therapy lesions.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

During pregnancy and lactation, the expected benefit to the mother and the potential risk to the fetus and child should be weighed.

Contraindications

Leukemic forms of leukemia (especially myeloid), lymphogranulomatosis, malignant diseases of the bone marrow.

Side effects

Rarely-allergic skin reactions (urticaria rash), headache, dizziness.

Interaction

Enhances the anti-radiation effect of cystamine.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside, during or after a meal.

Adults – 500 mg 4 times a day (if necessary-up to 6 times a day, the maximum daily dose is 3 g);

Children from 3 to 8 years – 250 mg 3 times a day (the maximum daily dose is 750 mg);

Children from 8 years to 14 years – 250-500 mg 3 times a day (the maximum daily dose is 1.5 g).

The course for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract is 30-40 days; in other cases, it may be less prolonged.

Overdose

In clinical use, no cases of overdose have been reported up to this time.
