Active ingredient: marshmallow herb extract (mukaltin) – 50.0 mg;excipients: calcium phosphate 2-substituted anhydrous (calcium hydrogen phosphate anhydrous) – 219,03 mg crospovidone (crospovidon CE) – 102,82 mg, tartaric acid – 42,40 mg, black currant flavors* to 5.51 mg, calcium stearate – to 4.24 mg* consisting of flavour: natural flavouring substance, maltodextrin is 62.5%, gum Arabic (E 414) and 26.5%, triacetin (E 1518) is 6.5%.

Pharmacological properties
Mucaltin is a mixture of polysaccharides from the herb marshmallow officinalis, has expectorant properties. Due to reflex stimulation, it increases the activity of the ciliated epithelium and peristalsis of the respiratory bronchioles in combination with increased secretion of the bronchial glands.

Indications
Acute and chronic diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough and the formation of difficult-to-separate sputum of increased viscosity (including tracheobronchitis, obstructive bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia) – as part of complex therapy.
Use during pregnancy and lactation
The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible on the recommendation of a doctor.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum, children under 12 years of age.
Side effects
Allergic reactions are possible, rarely dyspeptic phenomena. If you experience any of the side effects listed in the instructions or they get worse, or you notice any other side effects not listed in the instructions, tell your doctor.
Interaction
Mukaltin can be administered simultaneously with other medications used in the treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases.
Mucaltin should not be used concomitantly with codeine-containing medications and other antitussive medications, as this makes it difficult to cough up thin sputum.

How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside.
Adults and children over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets 2-3 times a day before meals.
You can dissolve a single dose (1-2 tablets) in 1/3 cup of warm water.
The course of treatment is on average 7-14 days.
If there is no improvement during the treatment period, or if the symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear, you should consult your doctor. Use the drug only according to the indications, the method of use and in the doses indicated in the instructions.
Overdose
So far, no overdose cases have been reported.
