With rhinitis, adults are prescribed 1-3 drops of 0.05-0.1% of the drug 3-4 times a day in each nasal passage, children from 1 to 6 years are prescribed 1-2 drops of 0.05% of the drug, children from 6 to 15 years-2 drops 1-3 times a day. For nosebleeds, tampons moistened with 0.05% of the drug are used. To facilitate rhinoscopy – after cleaning the nose, drop 3-4 drops into each nasal passage or insert a swab soaked in 0.05% of the drug and leave for 1-2 minutes.
Hypersensitivity; arterial hypertension, severe atherosclerosis, thyrotoxicosis, childhood (up to 1 year), chronic rhinitis, severe eye diseases, diabetes mellitus; simultaneous use of MAO inhibitors and a period of up to 14 days after the end of their use.
With caution:
With prolonged use, the severity of the vasoconstrictor effect gradually decreases (the phenomenon of tachyphylaxis), and therefore it is recommended to take a break for several days after 5-7 days of use.

Vasoconstrictor. Excites alpha 1-and alpha 2-adrenergic receptors, has an anti-edematous effect. Vasoconstrictor effect is manifested by local application on the nasal mucosa. In rhinitis, it facilitates nasal breathing by reducing blood flow to the venous sinuses.
Pharmacokinetics
The vasoconstrictor effect occurs in a few minutes and lasts for several hours.

Nausea, tachycardia, headache, increased blood pressure, reactive hyperemia, swelling of the nasal mucosa. Irritation, when used for more than 1 week – swelling of the nasal mucosa, atrophic rhinitis.
