methyl parahydroxybenzoate 33 mg,
propyl parahydroxybenzoate 16.7 mg,
xylitol (xylitol) 1.0 g,
purified water up to 100 ml
Pharmacological action
Nooklerin is a nootropic drug, which is close in chemical structure to the natural metabolites of the brain (GABA, glutamic acid). It has a neuroprotective effect, improves memory and learning, has a positive effect on asthenic and adynamic disorders, increasing the motor and mental activity of patients.
When using the drug, the ability to concentrate improves.
Nooklerin® it has a positive effect on neurotic conditions in elderly and senile people who have developed against the background of organic brain insufficiency, alcohol withdrawal syndrome.
Pharmacokinetics
0.5-1 hour after oral use is detected in the maximum concentration in the brain, in smaller amounts in the liver, heart, lungs, blood plasma, and kidneys. The elimination half-life is 24 hours. It is excreted by the kidneys.
Indications
For adults:
- the period of convalescence after traumatic brain injuries;
- asthenic and astheno-depressive disorders;
- relief (in complex therapy) of alcohol withdrawal syndrome;
- use as a means of improving the processes of memory and attention (intellectual and mnestic functions).
For children 10 years and older:
- borderline neuropsychiatric disorders of asthenic and neurotic nature, including the consequences of traumatic brain injury.
Contraindications
Increased individual sensitivity to the drug, infectious diseases of the central nervous system, febrile and psychotic states, diseases of the blood system, severe liver and kidney function disorders, pregnancy and lactation, age up to 10 years.
Side effects
Allergic reactions, headaches, sleep disorders, constipation, weight loss, itching, in some cases – dyspepsia (in the elderly).
Interaction
It is possible to increase the effect of drugs that stimulate the central nervous system.
How to take, course of use and dosage
One teaspoon of the solution (5 ml) corresponds to 1 g of the Active ingredient. For adults, the drug is prescribed orally for 1 teaspoon 2-3 times a day, the last dose no later than 4 hours before bedtime.
The maximum single dose is 2 g (2 teaspoons), in special cases it is possible to increase the dose as prescribed by a doctor (the maximum daily dose is 10 g (10 teaspoons)).
The therapeutic daily dose for children aged 10-12 years should be 0.5-1.0 g (1/2-1 teaspoon) Nooklerin®, in children over 12 years of age-1-2 g (1-2 teaspoons).
The duration of the course of treatment is 1.5-2 months 2-3 times a year.
