Composition

1 ml procaine 10 mg

Pharmacological action

Local anesthetic.

It accumulates in the membranes of nerve fibers and endings and interacts with receptors located in potential-dependent sodium channels.

Reduces the permeability of membranes to sodium ions, preventing the emergence of an action potential and the conduct of a pain impulse.

Indications

Infiltration, conduction, epidural and spinal anesthesia;

vagosympathetic and paranephral blockade;

pain syndrome in gastric and duodenal ulcers, hemorrhoids, nausea.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity.

Side effects

Dizziness, weakness, hypotension, allergic reactions.

How to take, course of use and dosage

In / m — 5-10 ml of 1-2% solution 3 times a week for a month, after which they take a 10-day break.

For infiltration anesthesia,0.25–0.5% solutions are used, for conduction and peridural anesthesia-2% solution; inside — 1/2 teaspoon (for pain).
