Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; decompensation of the heart rate; gastritis; peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage; hereditary fructose intolerance; sucrose/isomaltase deficiency; glucose-galactose malabsorption; children under 1 year of age.

Liver diseases; alcoholism; traumatic brain injury; brain diseases.

The drug has an expectorant effect, dilutes sputum and reduces its viscosity. The active ingredients of the drug – thymol and carvacrol also have an antimicrobial effect.
Pharmacokinetics:
The effect of the drug is the result of the combined action of the active substances of Thyme herb extract, so pharmacokinetic studies are not possible; all the components together cannot be traced using markers or bioassays.

The drug is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of sufficient experience of clinical use in this category of patients.

If the doctor has not prescribed a different dosage, then the drug is taken:
Adults and children over 12 years of age: Â 2-3 teaspoons (10-15 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children from 5 to 12 years old: Â 1-2 teaspoons (5-10 ml) of syrup 3-4 times a day;
Children from 1 year to 5 years: 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of syrup 2-3 times a day.
The syrup can be taken without diluting or diluted with water.
The duration of use of the drug is determined by the therapeutic necessity and duration of the disease.

Allergic reactions may occur.
Due to the content of sorbitol, when taking the drug, irritation of the gastric mucosa, diarrhea are possible.
If you experience side effects that are not described in these instructions, you should stop taking the drug and inform your doctor about this.
The drug should not be used simultaneously with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive medications, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.
When using the drug in doses exceeding the recommended ones, irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa, vomiting, and diarrhea may occur.
Treatment: Â symptomatic.
Due to the ethanol content, children under 12 years of age should take the drug on the recommendation and under the supervision of a doctor. The content of ethyl alcohol in the preparation is not more than 4%.
One teaspoon of the drug (5 ml) contains no more than 0.16 g of absolute ethyl alcohol (that is, anhydrous ethyl alcohol).
– For children from 1 year to 5 years maximum single dose contains not more than 0.16 g of absolute ethanol, the maximum daily dose is not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethyl alcohol;
– for children from 5 to 12 years in a maximum single dose contains not more than 0.32 g of absolute ethanol, the maximum daily dose – no more than 1.28 g of absolute ethanol;
for adults and children over 12 years in a maximum single dose contains not more than 0.48 g of absolute ethanol, the maximum daily dose is not more than 1.92 g of absolute ethanol.
100 g of the drug contains 31.5 g of sorbitol (in terms of anhydrous sorbitol).1 teaspoon of syrup (5 ml) contains 1.85 g of sorbitol, which corresponds to 0.15 bread units.
If the symptoms of the disease persist or the condition worsens during the use of the drug for 3-5 days, you should inform your doctor about this.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms:
When using the drug, care should be taken when performing potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving a car and other vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher and operator).
