Otolorin ear drops-a combined preparation for topical application, has an antiseptic and disinfecting effect and moderately relieves pain. Boric acid has an antiseptic, fungistatic effect. It has a mild irritating effect on granulation tissues. Procaine is a local anaesthetic agent with moderate anaesthetic activity and a wide range of therapeutic effects.

Allergic reactions, with prolonged use, headache, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and in rare cases a state of shock may occur. Local reactions are possible in the form of itching, burning, which pass independently in 1-2 minutes and do not require discontinuation of the drug. If used with a perforated eardrum, the drug may come into contact with the organs of the middle ear and lead to the following toxic reactions: nausea, vomiting, redness of the skin, itching, urticaria, edema, deafness, balance disorders, confusion.
The procaine metabolite (para-aminobenzoic acid) is a sulfonamide antagonist.
Avoid contact with mucous membranes. Before starting to use the drug, it is necessary to make sure that the tympanic membrane is intact. If used with a perforated eardrum, the drug may come into contact with the organs of the middle ear and lead to toxic reactions. Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms During treatment with the drug, care should be taken when performing dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).
