Composition

1 dropper bottle with drops contains:

• Active ingredient:
• sodium chloride – 0.74%;
• auxiliary components:
• cremophor RH40 (macrogol glycerylricinoleate),
• sodium hydrophosphate,
• purified water,
• sodium phosphate.

Pharmacological action

Otrivin Baby drops for nasal irrigation in disposable dropper bottles-designed to care for the nasal cavity of children and children up to 1 year and older, to moisturize and purify the nasal mucosa. This is a sterile isotonic solution of sodium chloride, the pH level of which is close to the natural secretory fluid of the nasal mucosa. Otrivin Baby is designed to moisturize and purify the nasal mucosa in case of dryness and irritation during colds, adverse environmental conditions, as well as for daily hygiene of the nasal cavity:

• helps maintain the normal physiological state of the nasal mucosa.
• promotes the dilution of mucus and facilitates its removal from the nose, increases the resistance of the nasal mucosa to pathogenic bacteria and viruses.
• helps to remove allergens from the nasal mucosa in allergic rhinitis.

Indications

Hygiene of the nasal cavity in acute and chronic colds of the nose, paranasal sinuses and nasopharynx, as well as in allergic rhinitis. Daily hygiene of the nasal cavity to preserve the protective properties of the mucous membrane in conditions of increased dryness or air pollution (including air conditioning, central heating, etc. ). Hygiene product for the prevention of infectious diseases of the nose and nasopharynx, as well as inflammatory processes after surgical interventions.

Contraindications

The use of Otrivin Baby cleansers is contraindicated if the child has a high personal sensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drops or spray. The nasal aspirator should not be used in children who are allergic to the materials used to make the components of this product.

Side effects

With normal tolerance of the ingredients of drops or sprays, the use of these cleansers does not lead to the formation of any negative side effects.

Interaction

It is unlikely that any interaction of drops and spray Otrivin Baby with other medicinal products.

How to take, course of use and dosage

For hygiene of the nasal mucosa and prevention of diseases of the nose and nasopharynx: for children under 1 year and older, Otrivin Baby drops are used intranasally for 2-4 rinses in each nasal passage daily (if necessary, as much as possible). One dropper bottle should be separated from the rest, open the bottle by turning the lid clockwise. Nasal lavage in an early child is carried out in a supine position. Turn the child’s head to one side. First, you should clear the nasal cavity of mucus. The solution is instilled into each nasal passage sequentially, slightly pressing the bottle (several drops or more are administered if more thorough cleaning is required). The child should be seated, and after a few seconds, if necessary, the excess solution and mucus should be removed from the nasal cavity. If necessary, the procedure can be repeated. The bottle is closed by pressing the lid. To remove mucosal discharge from the nose in children, it is recommended to use. For hygiene reasons, one bottle should only be used for one child.
