Dexpanthenol is converted in the body to pantothenic acid (vitamin B5), which is a component of coenzyme A and is involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism: acetylation processes, in the synthesis of acetylcholine, corticosteroids, porphyrins.
Dexpanthenol has a regenerating, metabolic and weak anti-inflammatory effect (it stimulates skin regeneration, normalizes cellular metabolism and increases the strength of collagen fibers).
