Pharmacological action
Combined drug, has antispasmodic, hypotensive, vasodilating effect. Bendazol is an antispasmodic agent of myotropic action; it has a hypotensive, vasodilating effect, stimulates the function of the spinal cord, and has moderate immunostimulating activity.
Papaverine is an antispasmodic agent that has a hypotensive effect. Inhibits phosphodiesterase, causes the accumulation of cAMP in the cell and a decrease in calcium content, reduces the tone and relaxes the smooth muscles of internal organs (gastrointestinal tract, respiratory and genitourinary system) and blood vessels.
In large doses, it reduces the excitability of the heart muscle and slows down intracardiac conduction. The effect on the central nervous system is weak (in large doses it has a sedative effect).
Indications
-arterial hypertension (labile);
– spasm of peripheral arteries and blood vessels of the brain;
– spasm of smooth muscles of internal organs (including gastric and duodenal ulcer, pyloric spasm, intestinal colic, cholecystitis, spastic colitis);
— poliomyelitis (residual phenomena);
— peripheral paralysis of the facial nerve.
Contraindications
-violations of AV conduction;
– epileptic syndrome;
– bronchial
obstructive syndrome— – children under 3 years of age;
– hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
Use with caution in patients with reduced intestinal motility, traumatic brain injury, liver and / or kidney failure, hypothyroidism, adrenal insufficiency, prostatic hyperplasia, during pregnancy and lactation.
Side effects
From the digestive system: nausea, constipation.
From the central nervous system: dizziness.
From the cardiovascular system: AV block, arrhythmias, decreased myocardial contractility.
Other: allergic reactions, increased sweating.
Composition
Pharmacodynamic interaction: when used concomitantly with antispasmodics, sedatives, diuretics (dichlotiazid, diacarb, furosemide, spironolactone, etc. ), tricyclic antidepressants, novocainamide, reserpine, quinidine sulfate, the hypotensive effect may increase.
Weakens the effect of anticholinesterase drugs (galantamine, proserin, physostigmine, etc. ) on smooth muscles; reduces the antiparkinsonian effect of levodopa.
With the combined use of Papazole and nitrofurantoin, hepatitis may develop. Pharmacokinetic: adsorbents, astringents and enveloping agents reduce the absorption of the drug in the gastrointestinal tract.
