Pharmacological action
Pepidol is a natural preparation of plant origin. Meets all the requirements of cleanliness, efficiency and safety. PEPIDOL has a selective bactericidal effect on opportunistic intestinal microflora.
Regulates the level of intestinal contamination with normal microflora. By improving the condition of the intestinal wall, the production of non-specific immunoglobulins is normalized, the level of allergens and toxins in the intestine decreases, which generally strengthens the immune status of the body.
Indications
Pepidol is recommended to be taken for dysbiosis of various origins; during inflammatory processes in the intestines; with diarrhea and constipation; during poisoning with food or chemical compounds; in the complex treatment of allergies, acute respiratory viral infections and colds; to maintain the human condition after chemotherapy and radiation.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance to the components.
Interaction
Due to the sorption capacity of the drug, observe an interval of at least 1 hour between oral use of Pepidol and antibiotics, as well as other medications.
How to take, course of use and dosage
For diseases of the gastrointestinal tract:
Intestinal infections: Â adults and children in the age-appropriate dose every 3 hours with a sleep break (in the hospital-around the clock) until full recovery.
With severe colitic syndrome and hemocolitis, oral use is combined with therapeutic enemas of the drug:
- Adults – 50 ml 2 times a day;
- For children:  3 years – 15 ml 3 times a day;
- For children:  4-10 years – 30 ml 2 times a day;
- For children:  11-14 years – 40 ml 2 times a day.
Food poisoning (toxicoinfection) – at the first signs (nausea, vomiting, diarrhea) – for adults and children, take the age-appropriate dose every 3 hours until the manifestations of the disease are eliminated and 2 more doses after the condition normalizes.
Compensate for water loss (taking water-salt solutions).
In oncological practice:
- Radiation enteritis: Â if there are signs of radiation enteritis (diarrhea, etc. ), PEPIDOL PEG is prescribed 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals for the entire period of radiation therapy.
- Detoxification during chemotherapy and reducing the risk of developing enteropathies: adults and children in the age-related dosage 3 times a day for the entire period of chemotherapy.
In complex therapy of a number of diseases, including:
- tuberculosis: Â at an age-appropriate dose of 4 times a day (separated from oral chemotherapy) for 3 weeks. Repeated admission after a 10-day break,
- allergic, stressful conditions, eating disorders and errors in the diet, alcohol abuse: the reception schedule should be agreed with the doctor.
Prophylactic reception: if there is a threat of intestinal or respiratory infections (including flu) – in the age-related dosage 2 times a week (2-day interval) 3 times a day 30 minutes before meals.
Special instructions
In case of contamination of the product: delamination, mold appearance-do not use the product. The formation of a small amount of amorphous sediment and slight foaming is allowed.
