Pharmacological action
Infusion of peppermint leaves has antispasmodic, soothing, choleretic, antiemetic and local irritant effects.
Indications
Spasm of smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, vomiting.
How to take, course of use and dosage
About 5 g (1 tablespoon) of leaves are placed in an enamel bowl, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid and heat for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath, then cool for 45 minutes at room temperature, filter, and squeeze out the remaining raw materials. The volume of the resulting infusion is brought with boiled water to 200 ml. Take 1/3-1/2 cup 2-3 times a day 15 minutes before meals. It is recommended to shake the infusion before use.
