Pharmacological action

Cough syrup is a 100% herbal remedy.

The drug has an expectorant, anti-inflammatory effect.

Relieves dry cough, helps to stop the inflammatory process, dilutes sputum.

– Psyllium extract has antiseptic, healing, anti-inflammatory and expectorant effects.

-Mother-and-stepmother extract soothes cough, dilutes phlegm, has an anti-inflammatory effect.

– Essential oils of plants (eucalyptus, mint)they have a pronounced anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, analgesic and antitussive effect.

Indications

As part of the complex therapy of acute and chronic respiratory diseases:

– tracheitis;

– bronchitis;

– tracheobronchitis;

– bronchopneumonia.

It is also recommended to use it in the following conditions: :

– Acute respiratory infections accompanied by dry and wet cough;

– smoker’s bronchitis.

Interaction

Plantain and mother-and-stepmother cough syrup should not be used simultaneously with drugs

containing codeine and other antitussive medications, as this makes it difficult to cough up liquefied sputum.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Adults and children over 14 years of age: 1 tablespoon (15 ml) 3 times a day with meals. The duration of admission is at least 2 weeks, if necessary, the reception can be extended to 3 weeks.

Special instructions

The drug should be used with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus (due to the high sugar content in the drug).
