Composition

Active ingredients:

Neomycin sulfate 35,000 IU,

polymyxin B sulfate 35,000 IU,

nystatin 100,000 IU;

Auxiliary substances:

hydrogenated soybean oil,

dimethicone 1000,

Tephos 63: palmitic acid esters and stearic acid esters; 

Capsule shell composition:

gelatin, glycerol, dimethicone 1000, purified water

Pharmacological action

Polygynax Virgo has a bactericidal effect on gram-positive (Staphylococcus aureus, Corynebacteria, etc. ) and Gram-negative microorganisms (Enterococcus faecium, Enterobacter aerogenes, Escherichia coli, Hemophilus influenzae, Proteus vulgaris, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Ureaplasma urealyticum). It has a fungicidal effect on pathogenic fungi, especially yeasts of the genus Candida albicans, Cryptococcus, Hystoplasma. Improves trophic processes in the vaginal mucosa.

Indications

• : non-specific, fungal, mixed vaginitis, vulvovaginitis and cervicovaginitis; 
• before surgical intervention in the genital area;
• before intrauterine diagnostic procedures.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Allergic reactions to the components of the drug.

With prolonged use, systemic side effects of aminoglycosides may occur, which increases in cases of renal failure.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Intravaginally. 1 capsule, after evening toilet, before going to bed. Incising the pointed end, and lightly pressing on the capsule, insert the contents of the capsule into the vagina. After the drug is inserted into the vagina, the capsule is discarded. The course of treatment is 6 days.

For the purpose of prevention, the drug is used for 6 days.

If you miss taking the drug, you should resume treatment at the usual dose.
