Biological properties
Antigens of cell walls and metabolic products of Escherichia coli in contact with the rectal mucosa and the skin of the anogenital region increase the local resistance of tissues to the effects of pathogenic microflora. The drug stimulates the T-system of immunity, phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system, non-specific immune factors, reduces exudation – in inflammation, normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels, and stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.
Hydrocortisone when applied topically has an anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effect. When applied to the affected surface, it reduces swelling, hyperemia, and itching.
Hypersensitivity to phenol, specific lesions of the anogenital region (including tuberculosis, syphilis, gonorrhea, mycoses, viral diseases).
Rarely-allergic reactions (associated with the use of phenol as a preservative). With prolonged use in high doses, the development of systemic effects characteristic of corticosteroids cannot be excluded.
With the simultaneous use of Posterisan Forte ointment or suppositories and other drugs with glucocorticoids (tablets, drops or injections), the effects or side effects may increase.
Please note that these guidelines may also apply to medications that are used recently.
Apply in the morning and evening, as well as after each bowel movement.
