Composition

1 g of ointment contains:

Active ingredient:

standardized suspension of E. coli bacteria 166.70 mg, (3.3 x 108±25% (2.475 x 108 – 4.125 x 108) microclasses of E. coli, inactivated and preserved in 3.3 mg of liquefied phenol);

excipients:  liquefied phenol 3.30 mg (as part of SLE) (corresponds to the content of phenol solid 3.0 mg), lanolin 166.60 mg, vaseline 666.70 mg

Pharmacological action

Pharmacotherapeutic group: immunostimulant mediasto Pharmacodynamics : Cell wall antigens and metabolic products of Escherichia coli in contact with the rectal mucosa. the skin of the anogenital region increases the local resistance of tissues to the effects of pathogenic microflora. The drug stimulates the T-lymphocytic system of cellular immunity increases the phagocytic activity of leukocytes and cells of the reticuloendothelial system non-specific immune factors reduces vascular exudation during inflammation normalizes the permeability and tone of blood vessels stimulates the regeneration of damaged tissues.

Indications

Posterisan ® ointment is prescribed for adults with the following diseases:

– anal itching discharge and burning in the anal area due to hemorrhoidal diseases;

– anal fissures;

– eczema.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to phenol.

Side effects

Posterisan® has no side effects even with prolonged use.

Phenol is used as a preservative in the preparation, so allergic reactions are possible in patients with hypersensitivity to this component, with the development of which the use of the drug should be discontinued.

How to take, course of use and dosage

The ointment is applied in a thin layer on the affected area of the skin and mucous membrane in the morning and evening, as well as after each bowel movement.

For a deeper introduction of the ointment into the rectum, you can use the screw-on applicator attached to the package.

Combined use of Posterisan ® ointment and Posterisan® rectal suppositories is possible.

The course of treatment is 2-3 weeks.
