Composition

Active ingredient: complex of water-soluble peptides extracted from the prostate gland of bulls that have reached puberty 5 mg

Pharmacological action

Prostatilen has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland.

It helps to reduce edema, stagnation of secretions, and leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland.

Normalizes secretory function of epithelial cells.

It has antiplatelet activity, prevents the development of venous thrombosis in the prostate gland.

Indications

Chronic prostatitis. Conditions after surgical interventions on the prostate gland.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug.

Side effects

How to take, course of use and dosage

Lyophilizate for solution preparation

Prostatilen is administered intravenously at 5-10 mg 1 time a day. Before use, the drug is dissolved in 1-2 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or 0.25-0.5% novocaine solution. The duration of treatment is 5-10 days. If necessary, the course can be repeated in 1-6 months.

Rectal suppositories

Prostatilen is administered rectally 1 1-2 times (morning and evening). The drug should be used after emptying the intestines and performing hygiene procedures. Before use, the suppositories should be moistened with water. Suppositories are inserted deep into the anus. After use, it is recommended that the patient stay in the supine position for 30-40 minutes. The duration of treatment is 5-10 days.
