Composition

One suppository contains: Prostatilen® – 0.05 g; Dimethyl sulfoxide (dimexide) – 0.09 g; Macrogol (polyethylene oxide 1500) – sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 2.8 g

Pharmacological action

It has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland.

It helps to reduce edema, stagnation of secretions, and leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland.

Normalizes secretory function of epithelial cells.

It has antiplatelet activity, prevents the development of venous thrombosis in the prostate gland.

Indications

Chronic prostatitis. Conditions after surgical interventions on the prostate gland.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the drug.

Side effects

Possible allergic reactions.

Interaction

Compatible with antibacterial drugs used to treat prostatitis.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Prostatilen is administered rectally 1 1-2 times (morning and evening).

The drug should be used after emptying the intestines and performing hygiene procedures.

Before use, the suppositories should be moistened with water.

Suppositories are inserted deep into the anus.

After use, it is recommended that the patient stay in the supine position for 30-40 minutes. The duration of treatment is 5-10 days.

Overdose

Prostatilen is non-toxic and no overdose has been reported.

Special instructions

The effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate mechanisms does not affect the ability to engage in potentially dangerous activities that require special attention and quick reactions, such as driving vehicles.
