Composition

1 tablet for the preparation of a solution for topical application contains:  

Active ingredients: silver proteinate (protargol) 200 mg, polyvinyl-N-pyrrolidone;

Solvent:  purified water

Pharmacological action

Sialor is a topically applied hygiene product.

The main component that is part of “Sialor” – silver proteinate, has an astringent effect with a pronounced antiseptic and protective effect.

The antibacterial effect of silver proteinate is observed in relation to Staphylococcus spp. Streptococcus spp., Moraxella spp., and fungal flora. Silver proteinate prevents the penetration of microorganisms, forming a protective protein film.

Indications

• acute pain, acute, allergic, vasomotor rhinitis, chronic diseases of the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, paranasal sinuses, including accompanied by dryness of the mucous membrane of the nasal cavity;
• prevention of infections of the nasal cavity in the autumn-winter period, when climate change (rooms with air conditioning and/or Central heating), the presence of contaminated atmospheric air (smokers, vehicle drivers, hot and dusty plant);
• wound irrigation of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses before and after surgery;
• hygiene of the nasal cavity (including infants).

Contraindications

-individual intolerance of individual components;- pregnancy; – lactation period.

Side effects

: Burning, itching.

Interaction

Before using Protargol, be sure to inform your doctor about the use of other medications. In most cases, Protargol can be used in combination with other medications (there are no data on the interaction of Protargol with other drugs).

How to take, course of use and dosage

Locally. To prepare a 2% solution, dissolve 1 tablet (200 mg) in 10 ml of the supplied solvent. Before applying the 2% solution, wash and clean the nasal mucosa. Apply 1-3 drops 3 times a day for 5-7 days.

Method of preparation of the solution

• Pour the solvent into the bottle.
• Add a Cialor tablet to lacon.
• Shake until the tablet is completely dissolved (8-10 minutes).
