Composition

Pharmacological action

The anti-allergic effect of Psilo-Balsam® is associated with the presence in its composition of diphenhydramine hydrochloride, which is a blocker of H1-histamine receptors and, as a result, quickly reduces itching, reduces pain, hyperemia, reduces increased capillary permeability, tissue edema; causes local anesthesia, due to which Psilo-Balsam® has a pleasant cooling effect. A special gel base protects the skin and leaves no visible residue.

Indications

Effective for:

• Insect bites.
• Urticaria.
• Sunburn and first-degree burns.
• Skin pruritus of various origins.
• Itchy eczema.
• Chicken pox.
• Allergic skin irritations (except for itching in cholestasis).
• Contact dermatitis caused by contact with plants.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug; simultaneous use of any drugs containing diphenhydramine; use on extensive skin surfaces; children under 2 years of age. Use caution to damage the skin at the site of application, apply to the mucous membranes.

Side effects

Rarely — skin hypersensitivity reactions (eczema, contact dermatitis). With external use of the drug, side effects of a systemic nature were not noted.

Interaction

Cases of interaction or incompatibility with other drugs when using external forms of diphenhydramine are not described.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. For adults and children over 2 years of age, Psilo-Balsam® is applied to the affected areas of the skin (a strip of gel 3-5 cm long per palm-sized area of the lesion) 3-4 times a day and distributed with light massaging movements.

Overdose

Symptoms: redness, moderate swelling of the area of skin on which the drug was applied. Treatment: rinse the area of skin on which the drug was applied with water.

Gel for external use 1%.20 g each in aluminum tubes. Each tube together with the instructions for medical use of the drug is placed in a cardboard pack.

Special instructions

The drug contains light fat components, it can be used as a skin cream.

During treatment with Psylo-Balm, the patient should avoid sun exposure and alcohol consumption.

During treatment, the patient should exercise caution in activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.

Gel for external use 1%.20 g or 50 g in aluminum tubes. Each tube together with the instructions for medical use of the drug is placed in a cardboard pack.

Storage conditions

At a temperature not exceeding 25 C. Keep out of reach of children!

life is 3 years. Do not use the product after the expiration date.
