Composition

Active ingredients:

Hawthorn (Crataegus) D1 20 ml;

Arnica mountain (Arnica) D6 10 ml;

potassium carbonate (Kalium carbonicum) D6 10 ml;

Digitalis purpurea (Digitalis) D12 10 ml;

lily of the valley (Convallaria) D12 10 ml;

ethyl alcohol (ethanol) – 43% by weight;

Pharmacological action

Pumpan is a complex homeopathic medicine.

Included in the preparation are hawthorn (Crataegus), arnica (Arnica), digitalis (Digitalis), lily of the valley (Convallaria), potassium carbonate increase the strength of myocardial contractions, reduce heart rate, dilate the coronary arteries, improve blood supply to the myocardium, reduce the frequency and intensity of angina attacks.

Pumpan reduces the excitability of the nervous system, has antihypertensive, antianginal and antioxidant effects, improves the rheological properties of blood, microcirculation and metabolism of myocardial cells, reduces lipid peroxidation, increases diuresis.

Indications

In complex treatment:

• IHD (including chronic);
• arterial hypertension;
• stage I–II chronic heart failure;
• dystrophic changes in the myocardium;
• vegetative-vascular dystonia.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Optional for drops:  alcohol addiction.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside,30 minutes before or 1 hour after a meal, drops should be held for 20-30 seconds in the mouth before swallowing, tablets should be kept under the tongue until completely absorbed. Drops are used in pure form or pre-diluted in 1 tbsp. a spoonful of water (for adults and teenagers).

IHD:  adults — 10 drops 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 1-2 months. When the condition is stabilized-2 times a day.

Arterial hypertension:  adults and adolescents — 10 drops 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-3 months with the transition to maintenance therapy 2 times a day under the control of blood pressure.

Stage I–II chronic heart failure:  adults and adolescents-10 drops 3 times a day; children under 12 years-5 drops 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-3 months with the transition to maintenance therapy 2 times a day.

Neurocirculatory dystonia:  adults and adolescents — 10 drops 3 times a day. The course of treatment is 2-3 months. Before completing treatment, switch to maintenance therapy 2 times a day.

At the beginning of the disease, as well as in cases requiring rapid relief of symptoms, it is possible to take 8-10 drops every 0.5–1 hour, until the condition improves, but no more than 8 times, and then take 3 times a day.

Special instructions

Since the drug contains natural plant components, during storage there may be a slight turbidity and weakening of the smell and taste, which does not reduce the effectiveness of the drug.
