Pharmacological action

The drug is prepared on the basis of autolysate of pig muscle tissue.

Indications

The key symptoms for prescribing the drug

• are inflammation with fever;
• high fever with rapid rise and rapid fall in temperature;
• sticky, cold sweat.

Main cases of clinical use

Infectology

• acute inflammatory pyogenic conditions with a tendency to suppuration:
• otitis media, sinusitis, bronchitis;
• abscesses, boils, carbuncles, folliculitis, eczema;
• infected lesions and wounds;
• dental infections, except for the prevention of infectious endocarditis.

In these cases, when there is no deterioration in the general condition, Pyro-genium is prescribed first, the drug should be taken with a rapid (24-48 h) regression of the inflammatory state; otherwise, it is necessary to resort to antibiotic therapy.

• acute and chronic infectious conditions:
• chronic suppuration (sinusitis, otitis media, fistulas);
• infectious chronic diseases accompanied by fever, resistant to anti-infective therapy.

Contraindications

• Individual sensitivity to the drug;
• lactose intolerance.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Sublingual.

Granules should be absorbed in the mouth 30 minutes before meals or 60 minutes after meals.

For children from 0 to 3 years of age, the pellets are pre-diluted, shaking, in 10-15 ml of water at room temperature and given to drink.

The optimal amount per dose is 5 pellets.

Overdose

So far, no overdose cases have been reported.
