Composition
1 tablet contains: Active ingredients: calcium carbonate – 680 mg, magnesium carbonate (main magnesium carbonate) – 80 mg; Excipients: mannitol, povidone (collidone 90 F), sucrose, orange flavor, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc.
Pharmacological action
Pharmacotherapeutic group: antacid agentath: A. 02. A. X Antacids in combination with other DRUGSPharmacodynamics : The drug Ramni® contains antacid substances-calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate, which provide rapid and prolonged neutralization of excess hydrochloric acid in gastric juice, thereby exerting a protective effect on the gastric mucosa. Achieving a positive effect within 3-5 minutes is due to the good solubility of tablets and high calcium content. Pharmacokinetics: As a result of the interaction of Ramni® with gastric juice, soluble calcium and magnesium salts are formed in the stomach. The level of absorption of calcium and magnesium from these compounds depends on the dose of the drug. The maximum level of absorption is 10% calcium and 15-20% magnesium. A small amount of absorbed calcium and magnesium is excreted through the kidneys. If renal function is impaired, the concentration of calcium and magnesium in plasma may increase. In the intestine, insoluble compounds are formed from soluble salts, which are excreted in the feces.
Indications
Symptoms associated with increased acidity of gastric juice and reflux esophagitis: heartburn, acid belching, periodic pain in the stomach, a feeling of fullness or heaviness in the epigastric region, dyspepsia (including those caused by errors in diet, medication, alcohol abuse, coffee, nicotine), dyspepsia of pregnant women.
Contraindications
Severe renal insufficiency, hypercalcemia, hypophosphatemia, nephrocalcinosis, hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, children under 12 years of age.
How to take, course of use and dosage
Inside. Adults and children over 12 years of age: if the doctor does not recommend otherwise, chew 1-2 tablets if symptoms appear (or keep in the mouth until completely dissolved). If necessary, you can repeat the drug after 2 hours. The maximum daily dose is 11 tablets.
Overdose
Long-term use of the drug in high doses in patients with impaired renal function may cause hypermagnesemia, hypercalcemia, alkalosis, which may manifest as nausea, vomiting, muscle weakness. In this case, you should cancel the drug and immediately consult a doctor.
Special instructions
When prescribing the drug to patients with impaired renal function, the concentration of magnesium, phosphorus and calcium in the blood serum should be regularly monitored. Patients with impaired renal function are not recommended to take the drug for a long time in high doses. The use of Ramni® in high doses may increase the risk of kidney stones. Note to patients with diabetes mellitus: 1 tablet of Ramni ® contains 295.3 mg of sucrose (0.03 XE). If the use of the drug is ineffective, you should consult a doctor for advice. Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms: The use of the drug does not affect the ability to perform potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms, working as a dispatcher and operator).
