Composition

1 tablet contains:

Active ingredients:

Aluminum hydroxide dried-250 mg,

Magnesium hydroxide – 250 mg,

Simethicone – 40 mg,

Licorice root extract deglycyrrhizinated dry in terms of dry matter 400 mg.

Auxiliary ingredients:

sucrose,

sodium saccharinate,

methyl parahydroxybenzoate (methylparaben),

propyl parahydroxybenzoate (propylparaben),

magnesium stearate,

cocoa beans,

talc,

corn starch,

povidone KZO,

anise seed oil,

peppermint leaf oil.

Pharmacological action

Pharmacodynamics

Neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach, which leads to a decrease in the digesting activity of gastric juice.

It does not cause secondary hypersecretion of gastric juice.

It has an adsorbing and enveloping effect, reduces the influence of damaging factors on the gastric mucosa.

Accelerates the healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers.

Reduces gas formation in the intestines.

Indications

-Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute phase. – Acute gastritis. – Chronic gastritis. – Gastroduodenitis with normal or increased secretory function in the acute phase. – Hiatal hernia, reflux esophagitis. – Prevention and treatment of dyspeptic phenomena resulting from the use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and glucocorticosteroids. – Discomfort or pain in the epigastrium. – Dyspeptic phenomena that occur after errors in the diet, excessive consumption of coffee, alcohol, nicotine: heartburn, acid belching.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Contraindicated in pregnancy.

Breast-feeding should be discontinued for the duration of treatment.

Contraindications

Side effects

From the digestive system:  Constipation, nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps, changes in taste sensations.

From the side of the water-electrolyte balance:  Hypermagnesemia, hypophosphatemia, hypocalcemia, hypercalciuria, hyperaluminemia.

From the urinary system:  Nephrocalcinosis, impaired renal function.

Musculoskeletal disorders:  Osteomalacia, osteoporosis.

Other services:  Encephalopathy, allergic reactions. In patients with concomitant renal insufficiency – thirst, decreased blood pressure, hyporeflexia.

Interaction

When used concomitantly with Relcer, the therapeutic effect of antibiotics of the tetracycline and ciprofloxacin group, Indometacin, salicylates, aminazine, histamine _H2-receptor blocker, beta-blockers, digoxin, isoniazid, ketoconazole may be weakened.

Racer reduces and slows down the absorption of chlorpromazine, phenytoin, diflunisal, quinolones (including norfloxacin, ofloxacin, enoxacin, grepafloxacin), azithromycin, cefpodoxime, pivampicillin, rifampicin, anticoagulants, barbiturates, Fexofenadine, dipyridamole, zalcitabine, bile acids (chenodeoxycholic and ursodeauxiholeva), the penicillamine, drugs Fe and Li+, quinidine, of lansoprazole, meksiletina.

When taken concomitantly with drugs in enteric dosage forms, increased alkalinity of gastric juice can lead to accelerated disruption of the tablet shell and cause irritation of the gastric mucosa and duodenum 12. M-holinoblokatory, slowing down the emptying of the stomach, enhance and lengthen the effect of the drug.

How to take, course of use and dosage

The tablet should be chewed and washed down with water.

• Adults and children over 15 years of age: assign 1 or 2 tablets 3-4 times a day daily after meals or as needed.
• Children from 10 to 15 years of age: give half of the recommended adult dose.

Course of treatment according to the doctor’s prescription.

Overdose

Symptoms:  with prolonged use of high doses, kidney stones may form, constipation, drowsiness, hypermagnesemia. There may also be signs of metabolic alkalosis: changes in mood, numbness or pain in the muscles, nervousness and rapid fatigue, unpleasant taste sensations.

Treatment:  it is necessary to take measures for rapid elimination of the drug: flush the stomach, induce vomiting, take activated charcoal.

Special instructions

The interval between taking Reltzer and other drugs should be 1-2 hours. With prolonged use (more than 14 days), regular medical monitoring is necessary.

Use in patients with impaired renal function:  it is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.
