Earwax is a secret of the glands of the external ear canal, contains proteins, lipids, immunoglobulins and lysozyme, which keep the skin hydrated, protect it from damage and bacteria.

It is usually removed by itself when chewing.

The secretion of sulfur increases many times when irritated by dust, water, earplugs, cotton swabs, metabolic disorders, sudden climate change or skin diseases; it does not have time to be removed and, accumulating, can form a sulfur plug that can cause hearing loss, headache, nausea, dizziness, vomiting.

Recommendations for use

Hold the bottle in your hands to warm it up to body temperature. Lie on the side opposite the ear being treated or tilt your head to the opposite shoulder. Gently pull the earlobe down and back to straighten the external ear canal. Drip up to 20 drops of Remo-Wax on the back wall, the level of the solution should reach the border of the transition to the auricle. The amount of solution depends on the size of the ear canal, but less than 10 drops do not completely cover all the walls of the ear canal. Wait 20-60 minutes. After that, let the solution drain out for 1 minute, turning over on the other side (or leaning over the sink/napkin). It is possible to color the solution in a light or dark brown color due to dissolved sulfur. If necessary, you can leave the solution in your ear overnight by inserting a small piece of cotton wool soaked in Remo-Wax drops. The ear canal should be flushed after each application of drops to completely clear the ear canal of dissolved sulfur/sulfur plug residues. Wash the ear canal with clean water of body temperature. Washing should not cause pain. If there is pain, stop rinsing and consult a doctor. In the case of old and dense sulfur plugs, it is recommended to repeat the application of ear drops and ear washing three days in a row. Repeat the procedure with the other ear. For regular ear hygiene and to reduce the risk of sulfur plug formation, use Remo-Wax once a month.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the components of the composition;
• Inflammatory process or pain in the ears, discharge from the auditory canal;
• Perforation of the eardrum;
• The presence of a shunt in the eardrum, as well as in the first 6-12 months after removal of the shunt.

Side effects

In some rare cases, local allergic reactions may occur. There may be discomfort in the ear canal, skin irritation and short-term dizziness.

Special instructions

Do not drip into the center of the ear – an “air plug” may form (especially if the auditory canal is narrow, twisted or deformed, including as a result of otitis media).
