methylhydroxypropylcellulose,
disodium edetate,

Pharmacological action
Rhinofluimucil – mucolytic, vasoconstrictor, decongestant, anti-inflammatory.
Acetylcysteine rapidly dilutes mucosal and purulent-mucosal secretions by breaking the disulfide bonds of mucus glycoproteins. Acetylcysteine has an anti-inflammatory effect through the mechanism of inhibition of leukocyte chemotaxis, has antioxidant properties. Tuaminoheptan sulfate, a sympathomimetic amine, when applied topically has a vasoconstrictive effect, eliminates edema, hyperemia of the mucous membrane.
Pharmacodynamics
In the treatment of inflammatory processes in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses, the mucolytic and reparative effect of acetylcysteine is supplemented by the vasoconstrictive effect of tuaminoheptan sulfate, which helps to eliminate edema. Thanks to the listed effects of the drug, rapid recovery of the nasal mucosa and reduction of symptoms of the inflammatory process is achieved.
Pharmacokinetics
When the drug is applied topically, its constituent ingredients do not have a systemic effect.
Indications
- runny nose, resistant to treatment
- chronic runny nose, accompanied by the formation of crusts
- sinusitis.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to one of the components of the drug, angle-closure glaucoma, thyrotoxicosis.
Do not use during treatment and for 2 weeks after the end of treatment with antidepressants (MAO inhibitors).
Side effects
From the cardiovascular system: palpitations, tachycardia, arterial hypertension.
From the central nervous system: agitation, tremor.
Local reactions: dryness of the nasal, oral and pharyngeal mucosa.
Other: allergic reactions, urinary retention, inflammation of the sebaceous glands.
Interaction
It is not compatible with MAO inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants, as the latter potentiate the action of sympathomimic substances, and this can lead to the development of systemic side effects caused by tuaminoheptan.
Concomitant use of Rhinofluimucil with antihypertensive agents may weaken the antihypertensive effect.
How to take, course of use and dosage
The drug is injected into the nasal cavity in the form of an aerosol using a special nebulizer.
- Adults: enter 2 doses of aerosol (2 clicks on the valve) in each nostril 3-4 times a day.
- Children: the drug is prescribed for 1 dose (1 pressure on the valve) 3-4 times a day.
The duration of therapy should not exceed 7 days.
Overdose
Symptoms: it is possible to develop systemic side effects caused by tuaminoheptan included in the drug ( tachycardia, tremor, anxiety, increased blood pressure, addiction).
Treatment: if necessary, conduct symptomatic therapy.
Special instructions
The drug is intended for intranasal use only.
With prolonged use of vasoconstrictors, it is possible to change the normal function of the nasal mucosa and sinuses, as well as the development of addiction to the drug.
Do not exceed the recommended dose and course of treatment without consulting your doctor.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms that require increased concentration of attention
The drug does not affect the ability of patients to engage in activities that require increased attention.
