Pharmacological action
Rehydrating agent, has a detoxifying effect, restores the water and electrolyte composition of the blood. When used as a means of replenishing the volume of circulating blood, due to the rapid exit from the bloodstream into the extravasal space, the effect persists for only 30-40 minutes (therefore, the solution is suitable only for short-term replenishment of the volume of circulating blood).
Indications
Shock, thermal trauma, acute blood loss; dehydration; intestinal fistula; acute intestinal infections (severe course, inability to take rehydrating agents for oral use); therapeutic plasmapheresis;correction of water and salt balance in acute diffuse peritonitis and intestinal obstruction.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity, hypernatremia, hyperchloremia, acidosis, severe chronic heart failure, cerebral edema, pulmonary edema, chronic renal failure, concomitant therapy with glucocorticosteroids.
Side effects
Hyperhydration, hypokalemia, allergic reactions.
How to take, course of use and dosage
IV drip, at a rate of 60-80 drops / min, or jet. The daily dose for adults is 5-20 ml / kg, if necessary, it can be increased to 30-50 ml/kg. The daily dose for children is 5-10 ml / kg, the rate of use is 30-60 drops / min, with shock,20-30 ml/kg is initially administered. The course of treatment is 3-5 days. When therapeutic plasmapheresis is administered in a volume 2 times greater than the volume of removed plasma (1.2-2.4 liters), in the case of severe hypovolemia-in combination with colloidal solutions. The maximum volume of the injected solution is 3 l / day.
Overdose
In case of overdose, the balance of water and electrolytes (hypervolemia, hypernatremia, hyperkalemia, hypercalcemia, hyperchloremia) and acid-base balance may be disturbed. In case of overdose, in most cases, it is sufficient to interrupt the use.
Special instructions
In the case of rapid use of a large volume, it is necessary to monitor the acid-base state and the concentration of electrolytes. A change in blood pH leads to a redistribution of K+ (a decrease in pH leads to an increase in the content of K+ ions in the blood serum).
Freezing the drug while maintaining the tightness of the container is not a contraindication to the use of the drug. If the container contents are cloudy, do not use them. When combined with other drugs, it is necessary to visually monitor compatibility.
Ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles or working with other mechanisms. No information available.
Form of production
The solution for infusions is clear, colorless.
Storage conditions
