Composition

Ginkgo Bilabial Leaf Extract Dry 120 mg. Excipients:

Lactose monohydrate — 198 mg;

Corn starch-90 mg;

Talcum powder — 24 mg.

Colloidal silicon dioxide — 6 mg;

Magnesium stearate — 6 mg;

Dextrose liquid (dextrose, oligo-and polysaccharides) — 6 mg. Capsule (body and lid):

Iron oxide black dye (E 172) – 0.1%;

Red iron oxide dye (E 172) – 0.6%;

Titanium dioxide (E 171) — 1.33%;

Iron oxide yellow (E 172) dye — 0.27%;

Gelatin-up to 100%.

Pharmacological action

The drug Bilobil intensity 120 is of plant origin.

• Increases the body’s resistance to hypoxia, especially brain tissue, inhibits the development of traumatic or toxic brain edema, improves cerebral and peripheral blood circulation, and improves blood rheology.

• It has a dose-dependent regulating effect on the vascular wall, dilates small arteries, and increases vein tone. Prevents the formation of free radicals and lipid peroxidation of cell membranes.

• Normalizes the release, reabsorption, and catabolism of neurotransmitters (norepinephrine, dopamine, and acetylcholine) and their ability to bind to receptors.

• Improves metabolism in organs and tissues, promotes the accumulation of macroergs in cells, increases the utilization of oxygen and glucose, and normalizes mediator processes in the central nervous system.

Indications

• Dyscirculatory encephalopathy of various etiologies (developing as a result of stroke, traumatic brain injury, in the elderly), accompanied by a decrease in attention, memory loss, decreased intellectual abilities, sleep disorders;
• Violation of peripheral blood circulation and microcirculation (including arteriopathy of the lower extremities, intermittent claudication), Raynaud’s syndrome;
• Sensorineural disorders (dizziness, ringing in the ears, hypo-infusion);
• Senile macular degeneration;
• Diabetic retinopathy.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug Bilobil intensive 120 is not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation due to the lack of sufficient experience of use.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to ginkgo extract or other components of the drug;
• Reduced blood clotting;
• Erosive gastritis;
• Peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum in the acute stage;
• Acute cerebrovascular accident;
• Acute myocardial infarction;
• Galactosemia, lactase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome, because the preparation Bilobilintens 120 contains lactose;
• Pregnancy;
• Breast-feeding period;
• Children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

From the digestive system: very rarely — nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Allergic reactions: very rarely — redness of the skin, swelling, itching of the skin.

Interaction

It is not recommended to use the drug in patients who are constantly taking drugs that reduce blood clotting (for example, direct and indirect anticoagulants, acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs). Concomitant use with these medications may increase the risk of bleeding due to prolonged clotting time.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside,1 capsule 1-2 times a day. Capsules should be swallowed whole, washed down with a small amount of water, regardless of food intake.

With a double dosage regimen, take in the morning and evening, with a single dose-preferably in the morning.

The course of treatment is not less than 3 months. The first signs of improvement usually appear after 1 month. A second course is possible after consulting a doctor.

Overdose

Currently, no overdose cases of Bilobil intensity 120 have been reported.

Special instructions

If a hypersensitivity reaction develops, the drug should be discontinued.

Before surgery, you should inform your doctor about the use of Bilobil intensity 120.

If dizziness and tinnitus occur again, you should consult a doctor. In case of sudden deterioration or loss of hearing, you should immediately consult a doctor.

Patients with bleeding disorders (hemorrhagic diathesis) and patients receiving anticoagulant therapy should consult their doctor before starting treatment with Bilobil intensity 120.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms. During the period of taking the drug, care should be taken when performing potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions (including driving vehicles, working with moving mechanisms).
