Composition

Water psyllium extract, sugar, citric acid, ascorbic acid, mint essential oil.

Pharmacological action

The action of the syrup is due to biologically active substances in the composition of psyllium: polysaccharides, saponins, glycoside aucubin, tannins, carotene, vitamin K, etc. promotes regeneration of damaged tissues; has a calming effect; has a beneficial effect on the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases: inhibits the growth of pathogenic microflora, stimulates the motor function of the ciliated epithelium, dilutes sputum and increases its discharge. Useful properties of plantain syrup are enhanced by its components: -peppermint oil-has antispasmodic, analgesic and antiseptic properties; – ascorbic acid-strengthens the immune system, strengthens the walls of blood vessels and reduces general intoxication of the body.

Indications

-acute and chronic respiratory diseases accompanied by cough: acute respiratory infections, bronchitis, tracheitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, asthma, etc. ; – inflammatory diseases of the respiratory system: sore throat, laryngitis, tonsillitis, etc. ; – allergic cough and smoker’s cough; – stomach and duodenal ulcers.

Recommendations for use

1-2 tablespoons 30 minutes before meals, washed down or dissolved in 100 ml of warm water,3 times a day.

Contraindications

Restrictions under which it is necessary to refuse the use of plantain syrup: individual intolerance to the components, pregnancy and lactation; acute hepatitis; glomerulonephritis; increased blood clotting and thrombosis.
