1 ml of drops for oral use contains:  

Active ingredients:  

simethicone 30% emulsion 222.2 mg,

simethicone 66.66 mg;

Auxiliary substances:  

sodium saccharinate,

methyl parahydroxybenzoate,

propyl parahydroxybenzoate,

carmellose sodium,

citric acid monohydrate,

raspberry flavor,

purified water.

Pharmacological action

Bobotic has a defoaming, carminative effect.

Pharmacodynamics

Simethicone (activated dimethicone) is a combination of methylated linear siloxane polymers stabilized by trimethylsiloxyl groups with silicon dioxide. By reducing the surface tension at the interface, it makes it difficult to form and promotes the destruction of gas bubbles in the intestinal contents and mucus of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT).

The gases released in this case can be absorbed by the intestinal walls or removed by peristalsis. This prevents the formation of large gas-mucous conglomerates that cause painful bloating. In sonography and radiography, it prevents the appearance of image defects; promotes better irrigation of the colon mucosa with contrast agents, preventing the contrast film from breaking.

Due to chemical inertia, it does not affect microorganisms and enzymes present in the gastrointestinal tract. It does not reduce the absorption of food, does not change the reaction and volume of gastric juice.

Pharmacokinetics

Simethicone after oral use is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is excreted unchanged through the intestines.

Indications

-Increased gas formation and accumulation of gases in the gastrointestinal tract (colic, a feeling of fullness in the abdominal cavity, flatulence, including in the postoperative period, Remgeld’s syndrome, aerophagia);- preparation for diagnostic examinations of the abdominal and pelvic organs (radiography, sonography, gastroscopy and duodenoscopy – prevention of foam formation).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

During pregnancy, the use of the drug is possible only in cases where the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus.

There are no data on the safety of using the drug in lactating women. During the period of breast-feeding of the child, the drug should be used only if absolutely necessary.

Contraindications

-Hypersensitivity to simethicone and /or other components of the drug Bobotic; – intestinal obstruction;- obstructive diseases of the gastrointestinal tract;- newborns up to 28 days of life.

Side effects

Allergic reactions may occur.

Interaction

Simethicone may cause malabsorption of oral anticoagulants.

How to take, course of use and dosage

of Bobotic is prescribed inside, after meals. Before use, the bottle should be shaken until a homogeneous emulsion is obtained.

For accurate dosage of the drug during instillation, the bottle should be held vertically.

With increased gas formation and accumulation of gases in the digestive tract of children from 28 days of life up to 2 years: 8 drops (20 mg simethicone) 4 times/day; children from 2 to 6 years old – 14 drops (35 mg of simethicone) 4 times/day; children aged 6 years and adults – 16 drops (40 mg simethicone) 4 times/day

For a more convenient introduction of Bobotic, in particular to small children, it can be pre-mixed with a small amount of cold boiled water, baby food or non-carbonated liquid.

After the symptoms disappear, the drug should be discontinued.

Overdose

There are no reports of overdose.

Simethicone is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and overdose does not pose a threat to life and health.
