Composition

Pharmacological action

Citrosept grapefruit liquid is a biologically active additive. It is not a medicine.

Citrosept — bioflavonoids of standardized 33% grapefruit seed extract. Antifungal (fungicidal and fungistatic), antibacterial, antiviral action.

Citrosept affects: 100 species of fungi and yeasts (Aspergillus, Candida, T. rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, T. tonsurans, Epidermophyton floccosum, etc. ), more than 800 strains of gram-positive bacteria (streptococci, staphylococci, etc. ), gram-negative (Escherichia, Klebsiella, Prevotella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, etc. )

In relation to fungi, Citrosept delays the cytochrome P-450 enzyme in the liver and digestive tract. The antibacterial effect is based on damage to the cytoplasmic membrane, cell wall and inhibition of amino acid synthesis. Citrosept is highly bioavailable due to its low molecular weight (565). The bioflavonoids contained in the preparation promote the synthesis of proteins intended for the synthesis of specific antibodies, can have a regulatory effect on the metabolism of endo – and exogenous lipophilic compounds, and normalize all types of metabolism (including low-density cholesterol).

They have anti-inflammatory, anti-rheumatic and anti-allergic effects, restore the walls of blood vessels, regulate their permeability, improve blood circulation, normalize increased blood clotting, prevent the formation of blood clots and have antioxidant properties.

These compounds eliminate tolerance to carbohydrates (reduce sugar levels), significantly limit the growth of neoplasms, including skin neoplasms, and protect against radiation. People taking cardiac glycosides and other medications used in the treatment of hypertension (arterial hypertension) and coronary insufficiency, especially calcium channel blockers, as well as those who have undergone transplant surgery, should start taking Citrosept with 1 drop per day and gradually increase the dose to monitor the body’s response.

Citrosept can potentiate (increase) the effect of cardiological drugs and, therefore, it is possible to carefully reduce their dose and avoid pronounced side effects from these drugs.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Locally: Apply Citrosept on washed skin. Start with the minimum indicated concentrations (especially in children), but if the skin and mucous membranes are not too sensitive or there is no effect, the concentration can be gradually increased. For dilutions, use boiled water and always mix the solution thoroughly. Monitor the body’s response and increase or decrease the dose depending on it.

Inside: only in diluted form! Citrosept should be taken in doses of 10-25 drops (depending on body weight and severity of the disease) 2-3 times a day in dilution with 100-200 ml of any liquid, thoroughly mixed. The liquid may be warm, but not hot. You can use boiled water. For chronic diseases, the course lasts from 2 to 3 months or until the symptoms disappear. Admission can be continued for up to 4-6 months. The volume of 50 ml is sufficient for an average of 1.5 months.

For prevention: adults-5-10 drops 2 times a day. In the initial stages of a cold, flu, or poisoning, it is advisable to take “shock doses” of 20-70 drops 2-3 times a day for a course of 2-3 days. If the Gerksheimer reaction is too intense, the dose should be reduced; for children-1 drop per 1 kg of body weight per day and the total number of drops divided into 3 doses.

Citrosept can be taken regardless of food, but not less than 30 minutes in advance, and with high acidity, stomach ulcers, gastritis or heartburn – only immediately before eating. First-time users should start with 2-3 drops 2-3 times a day and increase the total amount by 2-3 drops daily for about 2 weeks.

Fungi of the skin, mucous membranes and nails: Candidiasis: systemic, oral cavity, skin, mucous membranes, diaper candidiasis, onychomycosis, dermatomycosis, vaginitis. Oral use + topical application (rinses, applications, irrigation of mucous membranes).

Diaper candidiasis: Topical application only: 4 drops of Citrosept per 20 ml of vegetable oil-apply the solution 3 times a day. 5-10 days. Dermatoses: atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, eczema, microsporia, acne, herpes simplex, lichen planus, genital infections in women and men. Inside + out. Candillomas, papillomas, warts on the skin: inside + externally 1-2 drops of the drug without dilution gently on the affected area 2-3 times a day.

Mixed fungal-bacterial lesions of the skin and nail plates: inside + out. Respiratory tract: bronchitis, sinusitis, flu and other acute respiratory viral infections, bronchial asthma, sore throat, parainfluenza: ingestion + gargling + nasal washing + aerosol therapy.

Seborrhea of the scalp: external use.

Dentistry: stomatitis, gingivitis, paradontosis, oral hygiene and to freshen the breath: ingestion + rinsing + disinfection of toothbrushes.

Gastroenterology: dysbiosis, liver failure, complex therapy of hepatitis, including viral hepatitis, gastritis-ingestion. Acute intoxication of various etiologies, including alcohol, immunodeficiency, taking antibiotics, chemotherapy, radiation: ingestion. Varicose veins and trophic ulcers: externally-30 drops per 30 ml of water. Soak the gauze and apply it to the sore spot (if there are no open wounds). Bandages should be changed 2-3 times a day.

Obstetrics and gynecology: female fungal and bacterial infections-ingestion + irrigation of mucous membranes.

Fungi on the nails: it is recommended to trim the nails as short as possible every 2 days. Apply 1-2 drops of Citrosept as an application to the nails and the area around the nails 2-3 times a day. Continue the course until the uninfected nail grows (from 2 to 8 months). It is necessary to take Citrosept orally during the course and 1 month after the disappearance of symptoms.

Dermatoses: start with concentration (Citrosept with water) 1: 4, then 1: 3,1: 2, and 1: 1,3 times a day. The course until the effect is obtained is 7-14 days. Inside according to the scheme.

For ACNE, use only with water.

Herpes: children from 1: 4 to 1: 2; adults 1: 1 or without dilution. 2-3 times a day, gently on the foci of rashes for up to 5 days or until the symptoms disappear, do not allow undiluted extract to get on the skin or mucous membranes. The earlier you start taking Citrosept, the faster the effect is achieved.

In case of purulent inflammation or eczema, the affected area should be pre-dried.

Seborrhea( dandruff): add 7-15 drops to a serving of shampoo, wash your hair and rub into the skin for about 2 minutes, then rinse well with water. Reception every 2-3 days with a course of 7-12 receptions. Continue for 2 weeks after symptoms disappear. Avoid contact with eyes.

Gargle: 3-12 drops of not 200 ml of warm water. Gargle with this solution 5-7 times a day. After rinsing, the solution can be swallowed. Nasal lavage: 2-4 drops (children: 1-3 drops) of the drug per 100 ml of cold boiled water, rinse 2-3 times a day, throwing your head back and shaking it in different directions, clean your nose well.

Irrigation of mucous membranes for STDs: for women-wash with a solution of 10-15 drops (at first 10) per 1 liter of water 2 times a day; for men-carefully apply the solution (1 tablespoon of vegetable oil and 1-4 drops of the drug) 3 times a day for several minutes, each time rinse well.

Aerosol therapy: 2-3 drops of Citrosept in 3-4 ml of saline solution through a nebulizer. Mouthwash: 4-11 drops (children with 1 drop) per 200 ml of warm water, rinse or wipe with gauze at least 3 times a day. Rinsing disinfects the oral cavity and refreshes the breath.

For prevention, n. p. after visiting the bath or pool, you can apply a solution of 10-20 drops per glass of water to the skin.

Special instructions

Inside, on mucous membranes and open wounds, apply Citrosept only in diluted form. Avoid contact with eyes.

In case of accidental contact with eyes, immediately flush eyes with water and seek medical advice.

Consult your doctor before taking this medicine. Diabetic patients may have a slight decrease in blood sugar levels.

People with hypersensitivity to citrus fruits should start taking Citrosept with minimal doses: one drop per day to avoid allergy symptoms.
