Composition

>of 1 tab. contains: Active ingredients: Mebeverinee hydrochloride 135 mg, Excipients: lactose monohydrate-97 mg, potato starch-45 mg, povidone K 25-5.5 mg, talc-12 mg, magnesium stearate-5.5 mg. Shell composition: talc-40 mg, sucrose-79 mg, gelatin-0.4 mg, acacia gum-0.4 mg, Carnauba wax-0.3 mg

Pharmacological action

Antispasmodic of myotropic action, has a direct effect on the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract (mainly the large intestine). Eliminates spasm without affecting normal intestinal motility. It does not have an anticholinergic effect.

Pharmacokinetics

When taken orally, it undergoes presystemic hydrolysis and is not detected in plasma. It is metabolized in the liver to veratric acid and Mebeverine alcohol. It is mainly excreted by the kidneys in the form of metabolites, in small amounts – with bile.

Mebeverine capsules have long-release properties. Even after repeated use, there is no significant accumulation.

Indications

Symptomatic treatment of pain, spasms, dysfunction and discomfort in the bowel area associated with irritable bowel syndrome. Symptoms may include: abdominal pain, cramps, bloating and flatulence, changes in stool frequency (diarrhea, constipation, or alternating diarrhea and constipation), and changes in stool consistency.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

It is not recommended to use Duspatalin® during pregnancy. Do not take Duspatalin® during breast-feeding.

Contraindications

• hypersensitivity to any component of the drug.
• under 18 years of age.
• congenital galactose (lactose) or fructose intolerance, lactase deficiency, sucrose/isomaltase deficiency, glucose-galactose malabsorption syndrome.
• pregnancy and breast-feeding period.

Side effects

From the skin: urticaria (allergic rash), angioedema (a serious allergic reaction that may include: difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, neck, lips, tongue, throat), facial edema, exanthema (skin rash). From the immune system: hypersensitivity reactions (anaphylactic reactions are serious allergic reactions that may include: difficulty breathing, rapid pulse, a sharp decrease in blood pressure (weakness and dizziness), sweating).

Interaction

Animal studies have shown that there is no interaction between Duspatalin and ethyl alcohol.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Inside,20 minutes before meals, without chewing and drinking water, – 200 mg 2 times a day (morning and evening).

Overdose

In case of overdose with Duspatalin®, you should immediately consult a doctor. Symptomatic treatment is recommended.

Special instructions

Before taking Duspatalin®, you should consult your doctor if: :

• if the symptoms of the disease are new;
• unintentional and unexplained weight loss;
• anemia;
• rectal bleeding or blood impurities in the stool;
• fever;
• if someone in your family has been diagnosed with colon cancer, celiac disease or inflammatory bowel diseases;
• age over 50 and if the symptoms of the disease have occurred for the first time;
• recent use of antibiotics.

Consult your doctor if your condition worsens or symptoms do not improve after 2 weeks of use while taking the drug.

Storage conditions

At a temperature of no more than 30°C (5-30°C), keep out of the reach of children.
