Auxiliary substances: Â
purified water-30 g
Pharmacological action
Clinical and pharmacological group
Enterosorbent.
Pharmacological action
Enterosgel has a porous structure of an organosilicon matrix (molecular sponge) of hydrophobic nature, which is characterized by sorption action with respect only to medium-molecular toxic metabolites (mm from 70 to 1000).
Pharmacodynamics
Enterosgel has strong sorption and detoxification properties.
In the lumen of the gastrointestinal tract, the drug binds and removes from the body endogenous and exogenous toxic substances of various nature, including bacteria and bacterial toxins, antigens, food allergens, medicines and poisons, heavy metal salts, alcohol.
The drug also sorbs some metabolic products of the body, including excess bilirubin, urea, cholesterol and lipid complexes, as well as metabolites responsible for the development of endogenous toxicosis. Enterosgel does not reduce the absorption of vitamins and trace elements, promotes the restoration of impaired intestinal microflora and does not affect its motor function.
Pharmacokinetics
The drug is not absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract, is excreted unchanged for 12 hours.
Indications
Enterosgel is used in adults and children as a detoxifying agent:
- acute and chronic intoxication of various origin;
- acute toxicity of poisonous substances, including drugs and alcohol, alkaloids, salts of heavy metals;
- acute intestinal infections of any origin in the complex therapy (diseases, salmonellosis, dysentery, diarrhea syndrome of noninfectious origin, dysbiosis);
- purulent-septic diseases accompanied by severe intoxication, as part of complex therapy;
- flatulence;
- food and drug Allergy;
- hyperbilirubinemia (viral hepatitis) and uremia (chronic renal failure);
- with the aim of preventing chronic intoxication workers of hazardous industries (occupational intoxication with chemical agents polytropic action, xenobiotics, incorporated radionuclides, compounds of lead, mercury, arsenic, petroleum products, organic solvents, nitrogen oxides, carbon, fluoride, heavy metal salts).
Use during pregnancy and lactation
Enterosgel is not contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation (breastfeeding).
Use in children is possible from infancy.
Contraindications
Contraindication to the use of Enterosgel is:
- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- gastrointestinal bleeding;
- intestinal obstruction.
Side effects
When using the drug, you may: :
- aversion to taking Enterosgel;
- nausea;
- constipation;
- diarrhea.
Interaction
It is possible to reduce the absorption of other drugs when taken simultaneously with Enterosgel.

For the prevention of chronic intoxication – one package or 1.5 tablespoons (22.5 g) 2 times a day for 7-10 days, monthly.
Use in acute diarrhea:
- Dosage for adults and children over 5 years of age: the initial dose is 2 bags or 45 g (3 tablespoons) for adults and 1 bag or 22.5 g (1.5 tbsp. spoons) for children, then take 1 packet or 22.5 g (1.5 tbsp. spoons) after each act of defecation in the case of loose stools.
- Dosage for children under 5 years of age: the initial dose is 1 tbsp. spoon (15 g), then take 1.5 teaspoons (7.5 g) after each act of defecation in the case of loose stools.
After stopping diarrhea, take the drug for 5 days in the usual dosages.
In case of severe intoxication during the first three days, the dose of the drug can be increased by 2 times.
The duration of treatment for acute poisoning is 3-5 days, for chronic intoxication and allergic conditions-2-3 weeks.
