Composition

of 1 sup. contains estriol 0.5 mg,

Pharmacological action

Estrocad has an estrogenic effect.

Indications

of the Disease, caused by a lack of estrogen in the body: involution (atrophy) of the vagina and vulva, accompanied by itching, burning and vaginal dryness, pain during sexual intercourse (dyspareunia), a vaginitis, vulvitis, cervicitis, Beli, narrowing of the vagina, sores in the vagina and on the cervix, caused by pressure or tension, and related therapy for vaginal infections and involuntary urination (urinary incontinence), atrophy of the lower urinary tract (retrotastic), pre – and postoperative treatment for vaginal operations, diagnostics in the uncertain outcome of a smear from the vagina if there is a change in the pattern of cellular composition amid signs of involution.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Not recommended during pregnancy.

During breast-feeding — with caution, in significantly reduced doses, because estriol partially penetrates into breast milk.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity, bleeding of unclear etiology in the genital area, malignant tumors of the uterus or mammary glands caused by estrogen deficiency.

Estrocad is used with caution when the first signs of migraines appear, unusually severe headache attacks become more frequent, the first signs of phlebitis or thromboembolic phenomena appear, signs of cholestatic jaundice appear, a sharp increase in blood pressure, acute visual disturbances.

Side effects

Irritation of the vagina, accompanied by itching, burning, and redness.

At the beginning of treatment-spotting spotting from the vagina, soreness and tension of the mammary glands, hypersecretion of cervical mucus, leucorrhoea, fluid retention and associated temporary weight gain, nausea and other mild gastrointestinal disorders, rarely-migraine-like headache, very rarely-a feeling of heaviness in the legs, cramps of the calf muscles.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Estrocad is used intravaginally, unless otherwise prescribed, for 1 supp. /day.

Vaginal suppositories.

Storage conditions

The drug should be stored out of the reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 20°C.
