Gylan Comfort ophthalmic humectant solution 0.18% 0.4ml tube-dropper, 30pcs

Composition

One tube-dropper of Gylan Comfort solution contains:

sodium hyaluronate 0.18% (1.62-1.98 mg / ml),

sorbitol (18.00-22.00 mg / ml),

disodium hydrophosphate dihydrate (7.48-9.14 mg / ml)

sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate (2.83-3.45 mg / ml),

water for injection (up to 0.4 ml).

Pharmacological action

The solution is intended for use in ophthalmology for eye care by instillation in the conjunctival sac. The solution of moisturizing ophthalmic Gylan Comfort reproduces the effect of natural tears, protects and moisturizes the surface of the eye and lubricates it. This remedy has a long-term relieving effect for dry eyes caused by various factors:  

• violations of the tear film, which leads to a decrease in tear secretion and causes symptoms of discomfort; 
• the impact of the environment (Central heating, air conditioning system, fluorescent lamp, various natural phenomena such as wind, cold, dust, smoke, smog);
• frequent prolonged work at the computer monitor;
• the use of vasoconstrictive or anti-inflammatory ophthalmic drugs;
• hormonal changes (menopause);
• old age (75% of the population over 65 years of age suffers from the syndrome of “dry” eyes).

When regularly wearing contact lenses, the use of Gylan Comfort ophthalmic solution is recommended, which contributes to long-term hydration of the eye, since its action is identical to natural tear fluid. The solution has a viscosity index in the range of 3.5-6.0 MPa / s.

Gylan Comfort ophthalmic solution does not contain preservatives, so there is no undesirable toxic effect on the eye tissue. Long-term use of this drug is possible.

Indications

• for moistening the anterior surface of the eye (cornea and conjunctiva) in moderate dry eye syndrome; 
• when Sjogren’s syndrome
• to resolve the dryness of eyes, “sand” in the eyes when burning, the tearing, redness, itching, fatigue, office syndrome, as well as when foreign body sensation in the eye, feelings of fatigue, after various diseases of the eye, especially after conjunctivitis and keratitis of various etiologies,
• in the complex treatment of chronic blepharitis, causing the syndrome of “dry” eyes; 
• to eliminate” dryness “of the eye in cases of systematic and long-term use of medications (hormones, anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics, etc. );
• for complex treatment of” dryness ” of the eye in cases of constant use of cosmetics, as well as after plastic surgery on the face; 
• to hydrate the front surface of the eye after eye surgery operations, including after refractive interventions (LASIK, PRK, etc. ), as well as minor damage of the cornea in the complex therapy;
• to eliminate the discomfort when wearing hard and soft contact lenses, as well as for prevention of the syndrome of dry eye in contact correction of vision;
• for the prevention and comprehensive treatment of corneal-conjunctival xerosis: when environmental degradation and environmental pollution (smog, smoke, dust, etc. ), and a lengthy visual loads.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any of the components that make up the Gylan Comfort ophthalmic solution.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Gylan Ultra Comfort eye drops are instilled into the conjunctival sac in the amount of 1-2 drops, it is permissible to use up to six times a day.

The contents of one dropper tube are intended for one use only.

If the solution remains unused, it must be disposed of immediately.

Special instructions

In the case of combined use with ophthalmic drugs, it is recommended to observe a pause of at least 30 minutes between instillation of Gylan Comfort solution and the use of eye drops.

Eye ointments should always be applied after instillation of Gylan Comfort solution.

The solution can be used during pregnancy and lactation.

The solution does not apply to products that can affect the psychomotor state of a person, does not affect the ability to drive a car and work with mechanisms.

Eye drops in sterile polyethylene dropper tubes (unidoses) with a volume of 0.4 ml. 30 unidoses in a package.
