Pharmacological action:

The natural physiological microflora of the intestine can be significantly disrupted by external influences such as antibiotic therapy, radiation, gastric surgery, as well as due to inappropriate or unusual nutrition, water changes, climate change, and other conditions.

Hilak forte regulates the balance of intestinal microflora and normalizes its composition. Due to the content of products of normal microflora metabolism in Hilak forte, the drug promotes the restoration of normal intestinal microflora by biological means and allows you to preserve the physiological and biological functions of the intestinal mucosa.

The biosynthetic lactic acid and its buffer salts included in Hilak forte restore the normal value of acidity in the gastrointestinal tract, regardless of whether the patient suffers from high or low acidity.

Against the background of accelerating the development of normal intestinal symbionts under the action of Hilak forte, the natural synthesis of vitamins of group B and K. The short-chain volatile fatty acids contained in Hilak forte ensure the restoration of damaged intestinal microflora in infectious diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, stimulate the regeneration of epithelial cells of the intestinal wall, restore the disturbed water-electrolyte balance in the intestinal lumen.

There is evidence that Hilac forte enhances the body’s defense functions by stimulating the immune response.

When using Hilak forte, there is an acceleration of salmonella excretion in children after salmonella enteritis, which is due to the stimulation of the growth of acidophilic anaerobic intestinal flora and its subsequent antagonistic effect on salmonella.

Indications

– a violation of the physiological flora of the small intestine and colon (during and after treatment with antibiotics or sulfonamides, radiation therapy);

– gastroenteritis, colitis; the senile bowel syndrome (chronic atrophic gastroenteritis);

allergic skin diseases (urticaria, due to endogenous chronic eczema);

– salmonellosis in the stage of convalescence (including infants).

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The use of Hilak forte during pregnancy and lactation is considered safe. However, the decision to prescribe the drug is made by the attending physician.

Contraindications

-hypersensitivity to the components of the drug;

– lactase/isomaltase deficiency, lactose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption.

Side effects

Hilak forte is well tolerated by patients of any age.

No side effects have been observed to date.

Possible allergic reactions (skin rash, pruritus, urticaria); constipation, diarrhea.

Interaction

Under the influence of antacids, it is possible to neutralize lactic acid, which is part of the Hilak forte preparation.

How to take, course of use and dosage

of Hilak forte is taken orally before or during meals, diluted with a small amount of liquid, excluding milk.

The drug is prescribed 3 times a day:

– adults: 40-60 drops or 2.2-3.3 ml per reception;

– children: 20-40 drops or 1.1-2.2 ml per reception;

– infants: 15-30 drops per reception.

After the condition improves, the daily dose can be reduced by half.

Overdose

No special measures are required except for routine medical supervision.

Transparent or slightly cloudy yellowish-brown color solution with a characteristic sour caramel-like smell.

Special instructions

Simultaneous use of this drug with milk and dairy products is not recommended.

Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
