Composition

1 gram of ointment contains: Active ingredients: Flumetasone Pivalate 0.20 mg, Clioquinol (Iodochloroxyquinoline) 30.0 mgcomegatives: white wax, white vaseline.

Pharmacological action

Lorinden C is a drug with antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory effects for external use.

Flumetasone is a synthetic difluorinated corticosteroid for external use. It has anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, antipruritic, decongestant and vasoconstrictor effects.

When exposed to the skin, it prevents the marginal accumulation of neutrophils, which leads to a decrease in inflammatory exudate and lymphokine production, inhibition of macrophage migration, and a decrease in infiltration and granulation processes. Reduces the production of prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting phospholipase A2 activity and reducing the release of arachidic acid from cell membrane phospholipids.

Causes reduction of the main substance of connective tissue, weakens proliferative and exudative reactions in the skin. It is an inhibitor of cellular kinins with proteolytic activity.

Clioquinol (iodochloroxyquinoline) is a derivative of 8-hydroxyquinolines. Active against dermatophytes, yeast fungi (Microsporum spp., Trichophyton spp., Candida albicans) and gram-positive bacteria (Staphylococcus spp., Enterococcus spp. ).

Enhances the anti-exudative effect of Flumetasone.

As a result of the combined action of Flumetasone and clioquinol (iodochloroxyquinoline), the drug suppresses the development of inflammatory and allergic skin reactions complicated by bacterial and fungal infection.

The greasy base of Lorinden C ointment has a softening effect, has a water-repellent effect and forms a protective film that protects the skin from external moisture. Due to the special features of the ointment base, the drug can be used in patients with dry and thinned skin.

Indications

Allergodermatoses complicated by the addition of a bacterial infection caused by microorganisms sensitive to clioquinol:

• dermatitis (including allergic, contact, professional, seborrheic, solar);
• eczema;
• psoriasis (especially chronic cases; including psoriasis of the scalp);
• erythema multiforme;
• erythroderma;
• atopic dermatitis (common neurodermatitis);
• pruritus;
• dermatitis, are not amenable to therapy of corticosteroids (including lichen planus, lupus erythematosus diskoidna);
• urticaria;
• secondary infection with insect bites.

Bacterial and fungal skin infections complicated by the development of local allergic reactions:

• impetigo;
• infected diaper rash;
• dermatomycosis, actinomycosis, blastomycosis, sporotrichosis.

Contraindications

• Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.
• Viral skin diseases (herpes, chickenpox), skin tuberculosis, skin manifestations of syphilis, neoplasms and precancerous skin conditions (skin cancer, nevus, atheroma, epithelioma, melanoma, hemangioma, xanthoma, sarcoma).
• Acne vulgaris and rosacea, perioral dermatitis, trophic ulcers of the lower leg associated with varicose veins, conditions after vaccination.
• Skin infections (for an occlusive dressing).
• Do not use the drug in children under 10 years of age.

Side effects

Contact eczema;

allergic symptoms (mainly in persons with existing allergic diseases such as eczema, ulcers of the lower leg, etc. );

a worsening of existing changes in ordinary or pink acne; erythematous papular or symptoms that are resistant to any treatment (prolonged use);

poststeroid acne, purpura, telangiectasia, atrophy and stretching of the skin, perioral dermatitis, dry mouth, hypopigmentation.

Interaction

During therapy with Lorinden C, vaccination and immunization should not be carried out due to the immunosuppressive effect of the drug.

The drug should not be administered in combination with other medications for external use.

When the drug is absorbed into the systemic circulation, Flumetasone reduces the effectiveness of insulin, oral hypoglycemic agents, antihypertensive drugs, anticoagulants, reduces the concentration of salicylates and praziquantel in the blood serum.

When used together, there is an increased risk of side effects of androgens, estrogens, oral contraceptives, anabolic steroids (hirsutism, acne);

antipsychotics, bucarban, azathioprine (cataracts);

holinoblockers, antihistamines, tricyclic antidepressants, nitrates (glaucoma); diuretics (hypokalemia), cardiac glycosides (digitalis acid). intoxication).

How to take, course of use and dosage

Externally. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas. At the beginning of treatment, the drug is used no more than 2-3 times a day, if there is a positive trend-1-2 times a day.

The drug should not be used for more than 2 weeks. If there is a need to apply a bandage, then an air-permeable bandage should be used. With excessive lichenization and hyperkeratosis, the ointment is applied only under an occlusive dressing once every 24-48 hours. Do not use the drug for more than 1 week.

If not necessary, do not apply more than 2 g of ointment during the day.

In adolescents after 10 years of age, use only in exceptional cases on limited areas of the skin, avoid applying the drug to the skin of the face.

Overdose

Overdose cases are rare.

Symptoms: if used improperly, frequently or for a long time in significant quantities over large areas, systemic side effects of corticosteroids may occur.

Treatment: gradual withdrawal of the drug; symptomatic therapy.

Special instructions

Use with caution for mycoses of the skin.
