Composition

of 1 capsule:

– alverin citrate 60 mg-simethicone 300 mg

Auxiliary substances:

soy lecithin,

medium-density triglycerides.

Capsule shell composition:

gelatin,

glycerol,

titanium dioxide,

purified water.

Pharmacological action

Pharmaceutical group:

Myotropic antispasmodic with a component that reduces gas formation in the intestine

Pharmacology:  

Meteospasmil is a combined drug. It has an antispasmodic effect, reduces gas formation in the intestines.

Alverin is a myotropic antispasmodic, which is not accompanied by an atropine-like effect or ganglion-blocking activity. Reduces the increased tone of intestinal smooth muscle.

Simethicone is a hydrophobic polymer substance with a low surface tension that reduces gas formation in the intestine and covers the walls of the gastrointestinal tract with a protective film.

Indications

Functional disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, manifested by abdominal pain, increased gas production, belching, nausea, constipation, diarrhea or their alternation, including irritable bowel syndrome.

Preparation for X-ray, ultrasound or instrumental examination of the abdominal organs.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of Meteospasmil.

Side effects

In rare cases, allergic reactions are possible.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Meteospasmil is taken orally,1 capsule 2-3 times a day before meals.

When preparing for studies of the abdominal cavity – 1 capsule 2-3 times on the eve of the study and 1 capsule in the morning on the day of the study.

Form of production

Meteospasmil capsules are light yellow, soft, oblong, shiny, size 6; the contents of the capsules are a thick white suspension.
