Composition

Composition of the solution per 1 ml: sodium chloride – 27-33 mg, water for injection-up to 1 ml. It does not contain preservatives.

Pharmacological action

Okusalin is a sterile sodium chloride solution (hypertonic NaCl 3% solution). The product has a cleansing effect, soothes, relieves unpleasant sensations, counteracts the development of inflammation in the event of foreign particles entering the eye; helps to reduce and eliminate corneal conjunctival edema, and also accelerates its rehabilitation in the early postoperative period, which leads to a decrease in patients ‘ complaints of discomfort, a feeling of a foreign body in the eye, blurred vision and lacrimation in this period. Due to its antimicrobial activity, the solution can be used for conjunctival and corneal lesions of an infectious and inflammatory nature. The composition of the drug does not include preservatives, so when it is used, there is no side toxic effect on the eye tissue. Ocusalin can also be used as an adjunct therapy for eye allergies, as it removes allergens present on the surface of the eye. The product is approved for use in all patient groups. Indications

Recommendations for use

The solution contained in 1 unidose (1 or 2 ml) is designed for one procedure. The unused product must be disposed of immediately after use. Before instilling the drug, you need to separate 1 unidose from the rest and turn the lid to open it. Then, with your head thrown back, with a light push on the unidose, you should enter the solution into the eye by instillation. It is recommended to wash for at least 2 minutes. If necessary, in order to completely remove foreign particles and relieve unpleasant sensations, you can repeat the procedure using the contents of the next unidose. After the solution use is complete, the used unidose should be discarded. The solution can be used for a long time.

Contraindications

The use of Ocusalin eye drops is contraindicated in the presence of hypersensitivity to any of the components.

Interaction

If Ocusalin is used in combination with ophthalmic medications, the interval between its instillation and instillation of other eye drops should be 2-3 minutes. Eye ointments are always recommended to be administered after using the solution.
