Composition

One suppository contains — active ingredients: Osarsol (acetarsol) – 0.25 g Excipients: Boric acid-0.3 g, glucose (dextrose) – 0.3 g, Vitepsol-a sufficient amount to obtain a suppository weighing 2.8 g

Pharmacological action

Acetarsol, due to its ability to block sulfhydryl enzyme systems, disrupts the metabolic processes of protozoa (including trichomonads, amoebas), some spirochetes. To prevent resorption of the drug (and possible intoxication), it is necessary to maintain an acidic environment of the vagina. Glucose (dextrose), which is part of the preparation, is a nutrient substrate for lactobacilli of normal vaginal microflora. Lactobacilli decompose glucose to form lactic acid, providing an acidic vaginal environment. Boric acid also supports the acidic environment of the vagina.

Indications

Trichomonas colpitis.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, hepatic and/or renal failure, diabetes mellitus, hemorrhagic diathesis, tuberculosis, pregnancy.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, hepatitis, and polyneuritis.

Interaction

Drug interaction of the drug has not yet been described.

How to take, course of use and dosage

After releasing the suppository from the contour cell packaging, it is inserted, lying on its back, deep into the vagina. Apply 1 suppository 1 time a day for 10 days.

Overdose

When using Osarbon® intravaginally, no cases of overdose were observed.

Special instructions

The use of the drug does not affect the management of vehicles and work with machines and equipment.

Vaginal suppositories,5 pieces in a contour cell package. 1 or 2 contour cell packages with instructions for medical use of the drug in a cardboard box.

Storage conditions

List A. In a place protected from light and out of reach of children at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.

Shelf

life is 3 years. Do not use the product after the expiration date indicated on the package.
