Ostenyl-restoring viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid.
Synovial fluid (SW) plays a crucial role in joint homeostasis. In addition to feeding the cartilage tissue (the latter does not contain blood vessels), the CS protects it mechanically due to its unique viscoelastic properties. These characteristics of SJ are given by its main stromal component — hyaluronic acid.
An important link in the pathogenesis of osteoarthritis is a decrease in the volume and viscosity of the SJ, which leads to an increase in mechanical load on the articular cartilage, their gradual destruction, and consequently, the appearance of pain and limited joint mobility. Intra-articular use of exogenous hyaluronic acid is indicated to restore synovial balance.
Highly purified hyaluronic acid, obtained by bacterial fermentation, is a hypoallergenic substance. A rationally selected molecular weight contributes to both the restoration of viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid and the production of endogenous hyaluronic acid. Mannitol is an antioxidant that helps maintain the therapeutic effect after a single injection of Ostenil®medical device Plus for six months or more.
Degenerative-dystrophic and traumatic changes in the hip, knee and other synovial joints, accompanied by pain and limited mobility.
It is not recommended to use in children, pregnant and lactating women.
Hypersensitivity to one of the ingredients.
After intra-articular insertion of the product, local secondary phenomena may occur, such as pain, warmth, redness and swelling.
Applying ice to the punctured joint for 5-10 minutes helps to stop such phenomena.
Intra-articular. It is allowed to be used exclusively by a doctor.
It is introduced into the cavity of the affected joint once. According to indications, the treatment can be supplemented with 1-2 injections with an interval of 14 days. At the same time, you can perform injections in other joints.
If there is an effusion in the joint, first evacuate it, provide rest to the joint, and use cold therapy or intra-articular use of a corticosteroid drug. Treatment with the Ostenil medical device can be started 2-3 days after these procedures.
The contents and outer surface of the filled Ostenil medical device syringe are sterile as long as the integrity of the package and the sealing system of the syringe are not violated. The capping system consists of a protective cap, a Luer tip and a lid to protect against unauthorized opening.
Before performing the injection, you must:
A drug with signs of damage to the sterile packaging or syringe, as well as with an expired expiration date (indicated on the box) is not subject to use.
Viscoelastic sterile implant for intra-articular insertion
At a temperature of 2-25 °C (do not freeze)
