Composition

Pharmacological action

Immunostimulating agent.

Polimuramil is a natural immunostimulant.

It enhances the uptake of bacteria and the killing of bacteria by phagocytic cells.

This increases the ability of monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells to produce cytokines (interleukin-12, tumor necrosis factor-α, granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, etc. ) that activate cellular and humoral immunity.

Polimuramil enhances the synthesis of antibodies and increases the functional activity of natural killers that play an important role in antiviral and antitumor immunity.

Polimuramil has no teratogenic, embryotoxic, mutagenic or carcinogenic properties.

Indications

Polimuramil is used in adults simultaneously with antibacterial drugs in complex therapy:

– secondary immunodeficiencies, manifested in the form of chronic, indolent, recurrent infectious and inflammatory processes of the skin and soft tissues;

– acute and chronic pyoderma, of osteopathically, sycosis, deep folliculitis, carbuncle, of hidradenitis, boils, abscesses, impetigo;

– for the treatment and prophylaxis of surgical infections, including postoperative septic complications.

Contraindications

Pregnancy, lactation, and children under 18 years of age.

Side effects

There may be a temporary increase in temperature to 37.5 ° C, chills, soreness at the injection site.

Interaction

The drug is compatible with all antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory drugs.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Polimuramil is administered intramuscularly (iv) at a dose of 200 mcg/0.5 ml daily. In the case of secondary immunodeficiency states-200 mcg / m,1 time a day for 5 days as part of complex therapy with broad-spectrum antibiotics.

In the case of acute and chronic pyoderma in the acute stage (staphyloderma, streptoderma, mixed forms) – 200 mcg / m,1 time a day for 5 days as part of complex therapy with broad-spectrum antibiotics.

In the case of treatment and prevention of surgical infections in the acute stage-200 mcg / m,1 time a day,5 days as part of complex therapy (surgical treatment of a purulent focus, systemic antibacterial therapy, dressings with antiseptic and local antibacterial agents).

Overdose

In case of overdose, an increase in temperature is possible, with febrile values of temperature, symptomatic treatment should be carried out.

Special instructions

The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and other mechanisms.

Storage conditions

Store in a place protected from light and out of reach of children at a temperature of 2 to 8 °C. Do not freeze it.
