Composition

Per 1 ml of the drug: active ingredients: metamizole sodium-500 mg, pitofenone hydrochloride-2.0 mg, fenpiverinium bromide-0.02 mg; excipients: water for injection-up to 1 ml

Pharmacological action

Savzmofarm is a combined medicinal product with a pronounced antispasmodic and analgesic effect. Metamizole sodium has a pronounced analgesic and antipyretic effect in combination with less pronounced anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic activity. Its effect is caused by inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis and endogenous algogens, an increase in the excitability threshold in the thalamus, an effect on the hypothalamus and the formation of endogenous pyrogens. Fenpiverinium bromide has a moderate m-holinoblokiruyushchy effect, reduces the tone and motility of smooth muscles of the stomach, intestines, bile and urinary tract. Pitofenone has a papaverine-like effect on the smooth muscles of blood vessels and internal organs with a pronounced antispasmodic effect.

Indications

For short-term symptomatic treatment of acute pain syndrome of strong and moderate degree with spasms of smooth muscles of internal organs: – stomach and intestinal colic; – renal colic in kidney stones; – spastic dyskinesia of the biliary tract;- algodismenorrhea.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to any component of product;hypersensitivity to pyrazolone derivative or other NSAIDs;severe renal and hepatic insufficiency; acute hepatic porphyria;deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;ileus and megacolon;disorders of bone marrow hematopoiesis and the hematopoietic system disease;prostatic hyperplasia II-III degree;atony and gall bladder;hypotension and hemodynamic instability;breastfeeding; children up to age 15 years

Side effects

Neurological disorders: dizziness, headache;violations on the part of the organ of vision: visual impairment, disturbance of accommodation;violations of the heart: palpitations, tachycardia, cardiac arrhythmias, cyanosis;violations of the vessels: arterial hypotension;gastrointestinal disorders: dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain and discomfort, constipation, exacerbation of gastritis and gastric ulcer, in rare cases, ulcers and vomiting with an admixture of blood;violation of the kidneys and urinary tract: proteinuria, oliguria, anuria, polyuria, interstitial nephritis, urine staining in red

How to take, course of use and dosage

Strictly administered intramuscularly, the drug is intended for short term use;maintenance should be carried out under the strict supervision of a doctor, having the capacity to provide immediate relief in connection with the risk of anaphylactic shock in patients with hypersensitivity to Metamizole sodium or pyrazolone derivative;adults and children over 15 years, the drug is administered intramuscularly in a volume of 2-5 ml, if necessary, the dose can be repeated after 6-8 hours, the maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 ml;the duration of treatment is 2-3 days

Overdose

Symptoms: toxic-allergic syndrome, hematotoxicity, gastrointestinal disorders, cerebral manifestations

Special instructions

The drug may cause dizziness and impaired accommodation, metamizole sodium may negatively affect the ability to concentrate and leads to a decrease in reaction speed; patients driving vehicles or working with mechanisms should be warned about possible adverse reactions to the drug activities requiring increased attention should be stopped until the adverse reactions disappear
