Composition

>1 ml of the drug contains: Active ingredients: Framycetin sulfate – 12.5 mg, which corresponds to 8000 uusmedical substances: Methyl parahydroxybenzoate, sodium chloride, sodium citrate dihydrate, citric acid anhydrous, water for injection.

Pharmacological action

An antibiotic from the group of aminoglycosides for topical use in otolaryngology. It acts bactericidal. It is active against most gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae) that cause the development of infectious processes in the upper respiratory tract.

Indications

As part of combination therapy for infectious and inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, including: : – rhinitis; – rhinopharyngitis; – sinusitis (in the absence of damage to the septum). Prevention and treatment of inflammatory processionsafter surgical interventions.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to framycetin and other aminoglycoside antibiotics. The drug should not be used for washing the nasal appendages. Pregnancy and breast-feeding period.

Interaction

There were no clinically significant interactions of the drug with other medicinal products.

How to take, course of use and dosage

Intranasally. Adults: one injection in each nostril 4-6 times a day. Children: one injection in each nostril 3 times a day. Duration of treatment-no more than 7 days.

Overdose

Due to the low degree of absorption into the systemic circulation, overdose is unlikely.

Special instructions

It should be remembered that during treatment, resistant strains of microorganisms may appear.

At a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
