Pharmacological action

Nootropic combined drug, also has vasodilating properties. Improves cerebral blood circulation, causes a slight decrease in systemic blood pressure. Increases the resistance of brain cells to hypoxia, facilitates the transport of oxygen and energy supply substrates to tissues (due to a decrease in the affinity of red blood cells for oxygen, increased absorption and metabolism of glucose, and the transition to aerobic processes). Promotes the accumulation of cAMP and ATP in tissues, increases the content of catecholamines in brain tissues. The vasodilating effect is associated with a direct relaxing effect on the smooth muscles of blood vessels mainly in the brain. The drug does not cause the phenomenon of theft and increases the blood supply to the ischemic area of the brain, without affecting the blood supply to intact areas. Improves microcirculation in the brain by reducing platelet aggregation, reducing blood viscosity, and increasing the deformability of red blood cells. It has a positive effect on metabolic processes in brain cells, increases the concentration of ATP in brain tissue, increases the synthesis of ribonucleic acid and phospholipids, as well as glucose utilization. Improves the integrative activity of the brain, promotes memory consolidation, facilitates the learning process, and changes the rate of propagation of arousal in the brain. Indications

Use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Recommendations for use

Adults and adolescents over 14 years of age are prescribed 1-2 capsules 3 times a day. Maintenance dose-1 capsule 3 times / day. The duration of the course of treatment is from 2-3 weeks to 2-6 months. Capsules should be taken without chewing, before meals, with a sufficient amount of water.

Contraindications

Side effects

From the central nervous system: mental and motor agitation, irritability, unbalance, decreased ability to concentrate, anxiety, sleep disorders, dizziness, headache, extrapyramidal disorders. From the digestive system: gastralgia, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, decreased appetite. From the cardiovascular system: worsening of angina pectoris, tachycardia, extrasystole, slowing of AV conduction. Other: increased sexual activity. The drug is well tolerated. Side effects are noted in rare cases.

Interaction

When used together, Vinpotropile increases the risk of hemorrhagic complications of heparin therapy, increases the effects of thyroid hormones, antipsychotics (neuroleptics), and indirect anticoagulants. When used concomitantly, Vinpotropile weakens the effect of anticonvulsants (reduces the convulsive threshold).

Overdose

Special instructions

Before discontinuing the drug, the dose of Vinpotropile should be reduced gradually.
