Solcoseryl is a stimulator of tissue regeneration.
It is a deproteinized dialysate from the blood of dairy calves, containing a wide range of low-molecular components of cell mass and serum with a molecular weight of 5000 D (including glycoproteins, nucleosides and nucleotides, amino acids, oligopeptides).
Solcoseryl improves the transport of oxygen and glucose to hypoxic cells, increases the synthesis of intracellular ATP and increases the dose of aerobic glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation, activates reparative and regenerative processes in tissues, stimulates fibroblast proliferation and vascular wall collagen synthesis.
The use of Solcoseryl, like all other medications, is undesirable during pregnancy and lactation and is possible only if absolutely necessary and under the supervision of a doctor.
With caution, the drug should be used for hyperkalemia, renal failure, cardiac arrhythmias, with concomitant use of potassium preparations (since Solcoseryl contains potassium), with oliguria, anuria, pulmonary edema, severe heart failure.
In rare cases, allergic reactions may develop (urticaria, hyperemia and swelling at the injection site, fever).
In this case, it is necessary to stop using the drug and prescribe symptomatic treatment.
The interaction of Solcoseryl with other topical medications has not been established.
Solcoseryl is applied topically, applied directly to the wound surface after preliminary cleaning of the wound using a disinfectant solution.
Before starting treatment of trophic ulcers, as well as in cases of purulent infection of the wound, preliminary surgical treatment is necessary. Solcoseryl gel is applied to fresh wounds, wounds with wet discharge, ulcers with wetness phenomena in a thin layer on the cleaned wound 2-3 times / day.
Areas with the beginning of epithelialization are recommended to be lubricated with Solcoseryl ointment. The application of Solcoseryl gel is continued until the formation of a pronounced granulation tissue on the damaged skin surface and the wound dries up. Solcoseryl ointment is applied in a thin layer on the cleaned wound 1-2 times a day.
Solcoseryl ointment can be applied under bandages. The course of treatment with Solcoseryl ointment continues until the wound is completely healed, its epithelialization and the formation of elastic scar tissue.
For the treatment of severe trophic damage to the skin and soft tissues, the simultaneous use of parenteral forms of Solcoseryl is recommended.
Solcoseryl should not be applied to a contaminated wound, as it does not contain antimicrobial components.
In case of pain, redness of the skin areas near the site of application of Solcoseryl, secretion from the wound, fever, you should immediately consult a doctor.
If the use of Solcoseryl does not show healing of the affected area within 2-3 weeks, you should consult a doctor.
