Pharmacological action

Metaprebiotic STIMBIFID PLUS* is an innovative development of Russian scientists of the Scientific Society “Microbiota” based on deep fundamental research of intestinal microbiota, as well as safe and effective methods of its correction. The research formed the basis of “Scientific Discovery” and is protected by two patents.

Metaprebiotic STIMBIFID PLUS restores the individual gut microbiota, creating priority conditions for the reproduction of bifidobacteria, lactobacilli and Escherichia coli, which, inhibiting the growth of pathogenic microbiota, displace it from the body. A significant increase in normobiota leads to an increase in colonization resistance of the gastrointestinal mucosa.

Metaprebiotic STIMBIFID PLUS is a further development and deep optimization of the prebiotic Stimbifid and consists of two components – prebiotic and metabiotic.

A narrowly targeted prebiotic component is natural fructooligosaccharides (FOS) and fructopolysaccharides (FPS) with an optimized ratio of short (GFn, n = 2-8) and long (GFn, n = 2-60) chains, which ensures the supply of bifidobacteria with exclusive nutrition along the entire length of the colon.

The metabiotic component is calcium lactate. It is a powerful growth and reproduction stimulator of normobiota (RF patents).

The combination of a metabiotic and prebiotic with different mechanisms of action in STIMBIFID PLUS simultaneously contributes to:

safe and effective restoration of one’s own (individual) intestinal microbiota, including when taking antibiotics at the same time;

• increasing colonization resistance of the gastrointestinal mucosa in infectious diseases;
• eradication of Helicobacter pylori;
• elimination of constipation (effect of dietary / dietary fiber).

Recommendations for use

• Adults and children from 14 years of age: 2 tablets 3 times a day with meals. The duration of admission is 1 month. The number of courses is unlimited.
• Children from 3 years of age: 1 tablet 3 times a day with meals.

In order to adapt the gastrointestinal tract to fructosaccharides, it is possible to gradually increase the daily dose to the recommended one within 2-3 days. So, for example, for adults and children (from 14 years) on the first and second days-1 tablet x 3 times a day, on the third-2 tablets x 3 times a day (full daily dosage). The same applies for other age groups.
