Composition

hexetidine – 0.0577 g;

Auxiliary substances:

methyl salicylate – 6.7 mg,

anise oil essential – 14 mg,

eucalyptus essential oil 4 mg

oil, orange blossom essential – 3.3 mg

oil Sassari essential – 3.3 mg,

peppermint essential oil and 23.1 mg,

levomenthol – 6.7 mg,

sodium saccharin monohydrate – 8.3 mg

glycerol 85% – 7.6598 g

ethanol 96% – 19.3877 G.

Pharmacological action

Stopangin is a topical antiseptic.

It also has antifungal activity and analgesic properties when applied to the mucous membrane.

Stopangin has an enveloping effect.

The effect lasts 10-12 hours.

Indications

• infectious-inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and throat (tonsillitis, including Vincent’s angina, pharyngitis, stomatitis, aphthous ulcers of the mouth, glossitis, periodontitis, bleeding gums);
• fungal infections (candidiasis) of the mouth and larynx before and after surgical interventions in the oral cavity and larynx;
• injuries of the oral cavity and larynx;
• prevention of infection of the alveoli after tooth extraction;
• hygiene of the mouth to eliminate bad breath (deodorising agent);
• prevention of superinfection by destructive tumors of the oral cavity and larynx.

Use during pregnancy and lactation

Stopangin is contraindicated in pregnancy, lactation and children under 8 years of age

Contraindications

• atrophic pharyngitis;
• children under 8 years of age;
• I trimester of pregnancy;
• hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

Side effects

Local reactions:  burning sensation of the oral mucosa (quickly spontaneously passes).

Other services:  in exceptional cases, allergic reactions are possible in patients with hypersensitivity; if the drug is accidentally swallowed, nausea may occur during rinsing (it passes spontaneously).

How to take, course of use and dosage

The spray is applied 2 times / day (unless otherwise prescribed by the doctor), after meals or in between meals.

Before use, remove the protective cap from the bottle and attach the applicator. Press 2-3 times to allow the solution to enter the spray bottle. Then hold your breath and spray on the affected area. After use, the applicator should be rinsed with warm water.

The duration of treatment with Stopangin ® is 5-7 days.
