Symptomatic treatment of sore throat in infectious and inflammatory diseases.
During pregnancy and lactation, the drug is used only if the intended benefit to the mother exceeds the potential risk to the fetus and child. The minimum daily requirement for ascorbic acid in the II-III trimesters of pregnancy is about 60 mg. It should be borne in mind that the fetus can adapt to the high doses of ascorbic acid that a pregnant woman takes, and then the newborn may develop a “withdrawal”syndrome. The minimum daily requirement during lactation is 80 mg. A mother’s diet containing an adequate amount of ascorbic acid is sufficient to prevent its deficiency in an infant. Theoretically, there is a danger for the child when the mother uses high doses of ascorbic acid (it is recommended that the nursing mother does not exceed the daily requirement for ascorbic acid). The use of the drug during pregnancy and lactation is possible only under the supervision of a doctor.
With caution Pregnancy, breast-feeding period, diabetes mellitus.
The following adverse reactions were observed with short-term use of the drug in the recommended doses. In the treatment of chronic conditions and with prolonged use, other adverse reactions may occur.
The frequency of adverse reactions is estimated based on the following criteria: very common (≥ 1/10), common (≥ 1/100 to < 1/10), infrequent (≥1/1000 to < 1/100), rare (≥1/10,000 to < 1/1000), very rare (
Immune system disorders
Frequency unknown: hypersensitivity reactions.
Gastrointestinal disorders
Frequency unknown: nausea, abdominal pain, discomfort in the mouth (burning or tingling sensation, swelling).
Skin and subcutaneous tissue disorders
Frequency unknown: rash.
If you experience the above or other side effects that are not specified in the instructions, you should stop using the drug and consult a doctor.
There were no clinically significant interactions with other drugs. Simultaneous use of the drug with other local antimicrobial agents is possible.
Ascorbic acid increases the absorption of penicillin and iron drugs, reduces the clinical effect of heparin and indirect anticoagulants, increases the risk of crystalluria in the treatment with short-acting salicylates and sulfonamides, slows down the excretion of acids by the kidneys, increases the excretion of drugs with an alkaline reaction (including alkaloids), reduces the concentration of oral contraceptives in the blood.
Increases the total clearance of ethanol, which in turn reduces the concentration of ascorbic acid in the body.
Quinoline-type medications, calcium supplements, salicylates, and glucocorticosteroid medications deplete ascorbic acid reserves with prolonged use.
When used concomitantly, it reduces the chronotropic effect of isoprenaline.
When used for a long time or in high doses, it may interfere with the interaction of disulfiram and ethanol.
In high doses, it increases the excretion of mexiletine by the kidneys.
Barbiturates and primidone increase the excretion of ascorbic acid by the kidneys.
Reduces the therapeutic effect of antipsychotic drugs (neuroleptics) – phenothiazine derivatives, tubular reabsorption of amphetamine and tricyclic antidepressants.
Please read the instructions carefully before taking the drug.
Locally. Children aged 6-18 years: dissolve one tablet every 4 hours.
Do not take more than 5 tablets within 24 hours.
Adults over 18 years of age: dissolve one tablet every 2-3 hours. Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
Do not exceed the indicated dose.
The duration of the course of treatment is no more than 3 days. If symptoms persist after taking the drug for 3 days, you should stop treatment and consult a doctor.
Unlikely, possible overdose may lead to gastrointestinal discomfort: nausea.
High doses of ascorbic acid (more than 3000 mg) can cause temporary osmotic diarrhea and gastrointestinal disorders, such as nausea, stomach discomfort, frequent urination, and nephrolithiasis.
Treatment: symptomatic under the supervision of a doctor, forced diuresis.

It is recommended to take the drug in the shortest possible course and in the minimum effective dose necessary to eliminate symptoms.
Patients with diabetes should take into account that each tablet contains about 2.6 g of sugar (0.22 XE).
High doses of ascorbic acid increase the excretion of oxalates, contributing to the formation of kidney stones. Newborns whose mothers have taken high doses of ascorbic acid and adults who have taken high doses may experience “rebound” scurvy. Long-term use of high doses may inhibit the function of the insular apparatus of the pancreas.
In patients with high iron content in the body, ascorbic acid should be used in minimal doses.
Ascorbic acid, as a reducing agent, can distort the results of various laboratory tests (the content of glucose in the blood and urine, bilirubin, the activity of” liver ” transaminases and lactate dehydrogenase).
The drug does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms, as well as to engage in other potentially dangerous activities that require increased concentration of attention and speed of psychomotor reactions.
